One of the best - if not THE best - hotel experience/s we ever had!!! ❤️This small and cute hotel is something like a jewel! The one staff we met was adorable and so kind and caring that we felt right at home and even felt sorry that after only one night we had to leave for our next spot to visit! The hotel is gorgeous, the service impeccable, the breakfast!!! OMG!!! Just look at the pictures and you'll know what I mean! The breakfast was a piece of art made with love 💕 But, originally, the hotel is called Ephesus Hotel and Art Gallery, because all the sculptures you can see on the pictures were made by the owner - it vibes so well with the whole Ephesus area and it's beautiful ancient buildings, ruins, ... We got a nice upgrade to a bigger room that we could directly leave through a door to the inner courtyard where breakfast was served - super convenient! The courtyard was so peaceful that we felt like hearing ancient whispers coming from all around us... So much history!!! So much to see and having this wonderful hotel as the base to discover from was the best choice we could make! No need to mention that the room was simple but very nice and clean, comfy and big bed, nice lighting, spacey bathroom with very modern standard. Aircon as well, but we preferred to use the big fan on the ceiling instead ... There was a little fridge in the room and the beverages inside were free to take, so we were happy about the water after a hot and sunny day ... ☀️ Also, whenever we were on the way in or out, we were offered coffee, tea, water, juice, fruits ... you can see the fruit plate that we happily enjoyed as a mid-day snack ... If you ever visit Selçuk and Ephesus Ancient Town - and you should because it's ABSOLUTELY AMAZING - you should definitely book one, or even better two or three days at Ephesus Hotel and Art Gallery!!! Btw, it's also in easily walkable distance to the Ephesus Archeological Museum, the İsa Bey Mosque, St. Jean Church, the Ayasuluk Citadel, ... Another great plus was the fact that we could park the car right in front of the hotel. Last but not least, we received a beautiful little gift from the hotel employee who was taking care of us so kindly - she had sculptured the little elephant that you can see on the last picture by herself! A very special gift...

I’m reposting this review because a photo I uploaded, which showed the beautiful artwork in our room, was flagged by Google Maps’ policy. This is a review from our stay in March 2025.

They said, “We are very happy and grateful that you chose our hotel among so many others.” But what we received went far beyond just those words of hospitality.

Before arriving at the hotel: • We communicated through WhatsApp. • Despite our late-night arrival, the owner personally came to pick us up from the bus terminal.

Upon arrival: • We were welcomed with a refreshing drink and a fruit platter—even though it was already quite late. • Our room was clean, beautifully decorated, and had an amazing view.

The next morning: • We were served a delicious, homemade Turkish-style breakfast. • The owner kindly drove us to the ancient city of Ephesus, stopping by the Temple of Artemis on the way. • We received helpful advice via WhatsApp during our sightseeing.

After check-out: • We were offered drinks again. • We were allowed to use another room to change clothes and recharge our phones. • And once again, the owner drove us to the bus terminal for our midnight departure.

Every one of these gestures was a heartfelt act of hospitality. I regret that I left without giving a tip—it felt like what we received went far beyond what tipping could cover, and as someone unfamiliar with tipping customs, I overthought what would be appropriate.

Many thanks to the stylish and kind-hearted owner, and the warm and attentive staff. Thank you for always smiling and making us feel welcome, even though our English wasn’t perfect.

If you’re planning a trip to see the ruins of Ephesus, I would absolutely recommend this hotel—it’s truly one of the best. I hope to return someday and spend more time there.

In Japan, when we find a really great hotel or store, we sometimes say, “We don’t want to tell others about it because it feels like our little secret.” But in this case, I genuinely want more Japanese travelers to experience it—so I’m spreading the word!

※ Please note: This was simply the hospitality we received. Depending on the season or how busy they are, the same level of service may not always...

Stayed in this hotel for 1 night. A beautiful hotel owned by Nurçan. She kindly picked us up from the train station to accommodate our stay with our bags and to stop us walking in the heat and the uphill walk. The owner cared a lot about their guest’s experiences and so she knew our train journey was quite long from Pamukkale and wanted to make sure check in was seamless as possible. We were given water and a fruit platter upon check in which was such a nice touch. The room was very clean and spacious. They even have slippers and robes! Such a great touch. We loved their hand wash so much, I ended up purchasing one bottle of their hand wash to take home with me! That olive oil hand wash was amazing. There is free water in the minibar. We also get to experience the full Turkish breakfast. We had planned a tour at 8am and as such asked for breakfast at 6:45am so we have enough time to enjoy it. Breakfast was wonderful, so much variety and we were stuffed by the end of it. Unfortunately halfway through our breakfast, our tour guide cancelled. We mentioned this to the ladies in the team, and Nurçan immediately called her contacts and got someone in to start a private tour for us at 9:30am. The tour arrived exactly on time and it ended up becoming one of the best tours we’ve had in Turkey!!! Given we only stayed one night, upon us returning from the tour at 3pm, we just stayed in the lobby area for a couple of hours and the staff made sure we had enough water etc. whilst we waited to be taken to the airport. The aesthetics of the rooms and the lobby were very beautiful. With so much care and love given to the details and designs of the hotel. They have a service as well that can get you to the airport via car. We took this with Nurçan and we had a great and safe journey to the airport as well. All in all, we had such a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay in this place again. Thank you so much Nurçan and ladies for taking such good care of us. We had a great time...

I was late on arrival, and the proprietress personally helped check my family into the hotel and insisted on helping with the luggage. When I asked her if there was a water fountain available, she insisted on bringing a bunch of water for us to drink. I would've been more than happy buying our own water from the store. When I asked if I could add another bed because of a last minute change, she did it herself because her staff left for the day as it was late. When I told her that it wasn't necessary to put in a bed, we could just sleep in the extra large bed (it's honestly a lot bigger than the bed we have at home).. she said that she would like us to relax and have a good sleep. She brought us a bunch of fruit to eat (all of which were absolutely delicious). She informed us that the drinks in the fridge were complimentary. After we settled down, we enjoyed the local fruit to a nice cold drink, which was just what we needed after a hot 36 degree Celsius day around hieropolis. It really hit the spot. We rested in the immaculately clean room. All the fixtures were in wonderful condition, and outlets were well thought out. Beds and linens were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious, clean and well appointed. Her attention to detail for her guests is reflected in the rooms. Not only that. It's less than a 10 minute walk from the city center area which is bustling even on a random Thursday evening. The vibe was really fun, just being able to peruse through the various shops. I have truly loved my trip so far in Turkiye (see my other reviews I've written on this trip). It's thanks to wonderful people like her. I am grateful for the hospitality and warmth I've been shown. Look at the other reviews. And look at how consistently positive they are. There's a reason for that; this place and the people who run it really are that good. Ps. The breakfast was amazing, we finished everything.

The hotel was very close to ephesus (10 min) by bus or taxi. Hotel is brand new and all amenities are available. There is also a coffee shop in the reception area. The decor is artsy and very aesthetic. It’s a 2 min walk to some good restaurants like Amazon Bistro, Skopje Otantic and Merkan. Nurjan and her family were superb hosts to us. She was always available for any questions we had with us from the day we checked in. She also arranged the door-to-door transfer for us from Izmir Airport to the Hotel. The owners and staff are extremely friendly people. We felt at home at the hotel. The breakfast was very natural and organic prepared by Nurjan. (The turkish omlette was yum!) One of the days, we had an early start to visit Pammukale and she was kind enough to give us access to the kitchen before the regular breakfast time so we could grab a bite before our journey. There is a very cute garden in the hotel for an evening drink or to sit and relax. Their hospitality towards the guests is impeccable. Bittersweet feeling when we had to check out. We will definitely want to visit Selcuk again, just to stay at this hotel and Spend sometime with Nurjan & her family. We recommend this hotel to any guests looking to visit Ephesus or Selcuk.
