I stayed in this hotel during a September 2016 trip to Kiev. If you want nice big rooms for a decently inexpensive price, this is a good hotel. The rooms are old school Kiev and large with high ceilings. My room had a large window which opened to the air. It was nice and I liked being able to hear the sounds of the city and of the rain but this is not always a person's cup of tea. Once closed the window was nicely quiet. The window is large and modern. the room was simply appointed but clean, clean, clean. The paint was intact and the room really was in no way deficient. The internet worked well and there was always plenty of hot water. Generally, the room was relatively quiet but occasionally I would hear sounds of other patrons through the walls. There is a market on one side of the hotel and an artisan bakery on the other abd excellent restaurants within yards. There is a Nobu only a block away. Julia, the manager works five days a week and speaks excellent English. She is the only English speaking employee but she is quite available. Overall, there is a lack of aural privacy, enough to preclude this hotel for romantic interludes, but for a basic room from which to explore the city center, I recommend this hotel highly. It's not really a hotel but the sixth floor of a building which has "hotel"...
Read moreNice apartment hotel in the center of Kiev. There is a small grocery store nearby. Metro and shopping centers are also very close. Apartment clean and well maintained. Very nice balcony. Friendly brunette at reception. The rest of the other staff's members concerns focused on multiple requests to get my precise check out time. A little weird to answer this question several times a day. Later I was informed that the problem was with taxis. As it turned out there are almost no taxis in the whole city and they had to be ordered several days in advance ... wtf? I must admit that earlier it didn't work also, because in my hotel booking request I had ordered and recieved approval for a transfer from Zhuliany airport to apartment, but no one was waiting for me at the airport when I arrived in Kiev. And just after a multiple calls to reception and about 40-minute wait, taxi arrived at airport. Despite the various misunderstandings in general, this place has a great price-quality ratio and can be recommended for...
Read moreNice hotel, reasonable close to city center (but what is the center in this big city?). Good neighborhood (backyards look the same everywhere). Large rooms for its price. Bed hard but not too hard as I have sometimes. Very good WiFi. Good shower, hard flow, stay temperature though no thermostat tap.
Little shop next door open from 7 till 22. No breakfast served, so you have to find one yourself and that was not easy. Best was Freshline around the corner (sandwiches and coffee) (Ukraine people do not easy so much in the morning). Restaurants for dinner are around. Nice one is Pervak. Banks around the corner. Taxi to the airport is about 650. Pickup would be more expensive. Receptionists do not all speak good English and know no places for breakfast or dinner.
It's not an hotel you might expect. It's in a residential building on 6th floor. Small reception and no bar...
