Beach Rotana Residences — Hotel in Abu Dhabi

We are currently staying at Beach Rotana Residences in Abu Dhabi in a 3-bedroom apartment from yesterday until today. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Saleh, Priya, and Aileen for their professionalism, warm welcome, and exceptional service with a smile upon check-in.

However, our stay was ruined yesterday morning (Saturday) at the Acacia restaurant. The fried rice was too peppery for a child to eat. When my son took his first spoonful, he found it too spicy. I asked the chef if we could order plain rice instead and mentioned that I was willing to pay for it. The chef informed me that they did not have plain rice and suggested that my son could only have plain congee. Not all children like plain congee, and despite my willingness to pay, my children ended up not having breakfast.

The issues continued when I asked for my bill. They charged me for 1 adult and 1 child, which I let go as I was too tired to complain. I then asked for the Fazaa discount, which was supposed to be applicable to breakfast as mentioned when we booked the room. However, the manager said the discount was not applicable for breakfast, despite it not being excluded in the terms and conditions.

Lastly, we had a disappointing experience at the pool towel desk. We booked a 3-bedroom apartment for 7 adults and 6 kids. When we went to use the pool, the towel attendant, Nabir, refused to give us towels as the system was not updated with the correct number of people staying in the apartment. Despite explaining that we had no issues the previous day, he made us wait for over 20 minutes in the heat. He even refused to give us a few towels for the kids until someone called him, after which he suddenly provided the towels.

We didn’t expect this kind of treatment at a 5-star hotel. We weren’t demanding special treatment, just a relaxing day with our family to celebrate a special occasion. Unfortunately, we ended up having a stressful stay and a bad experience.

Today (Sunday), we had breakfast at Essence in the main hotel as we did not want to have the same bad experience from Acacia restaurant. As a frequent guest at BRR, I can confidently say that this place is an absolute gem! With many stays through the years, I continue to choose BRR for its unparalleled hospitality and unforgettable experiences. 😍

Each time I return, it feels like coming home. The staff's warm welcome and personalized service make me feel like a valued and cherished guest. From the moment I step foot in the hotel, I am greeted with familiar faces and a genuine eagerness to make my stay incredible. 🥰

Dear Reader & Rotana members, This is my first time to stay at Rotana Beach residents. In fact, I don't know from where should I start. First, the recipient Yusuf, the Tanzanian guy is incredible and very helpful, he satisfied my room preference request and he gave a full info on the hotel along with the complex facilities such the variety of restaurants, gyms, and the beach. On the following day I also reached him on some inquiries and he didn't hesitate to help me. Special thanks to Yusuf, he's a great asset. I can't let go the room service staff without mentioning, they are very helpful and so friendly, and the level of the service and how fast they are, is much appreciated. Even at the cconcierge desk (Talal) is welcoming the gest with nice smile and he's very helpful. Unfortunately, I cannot recall all the staff names but, all what I experienced from this hotel staff are amazing. Overall, Rotana hotel& Rotana residents are attached to each other and in between there are a variety of international restaurants from around the world such as Italy, German, India, etc. I didn't have time to visit all of the because of my short stay, however, I'll make sure to cover the rest of the restaurants in my next visit with my family. There's only one notice, the wifi on the higher floors is a little slow, and I hope you consider this point.
