Jumeirah Living Marina Gate — Hotel in Dubai

The hotel itself is luxurious and it's what you'd expect for the price. The breakfast is excellent and when Ben is on duty, service is excellent and it makes the experience enjoyable. In the room, the bed is comfortable and the view is lovely. The housekeeping is excellent; the staff in this department have been the most courteous and professional with me of all the staff in the hotel. The things that have let the hotel down for me are the following: 1) The unsecure hotel WiF. I've had 3 people hack into my Netflix account, and I've now finally managed to block them; 2) The car park attendants and hotel staff who assist with valet. They would not give me the few minutes I needed to leave my car at their lay-by to allow me to pay the driver of the recovery truck across the road that had come to deliver my car to me from Abu Dhabi. I told them I was going to park in the hotel car park once I'd paid the driver of the recovery truck but they just didn't want to listen. Once I had driven to the car park, the attendant then told me to park in B1. After parking, the same attendant told me to move my car. He then changed his mind again and said I could park in B1 but on Monday 15th March, I was told I couldn't park there and had to move to B2. I'm waiting to see if he changes his mind again; 3) The handling by the front desk of my complaints about my neighbour who sits on her balcony laughing and talking loudly, and waking me up at night. It's been 4 nights now with interrupted sleep; last night my neighbour woke me up at 1.55am and the noise she was making continued until front desk took action at 2.20pm. I expect inconsiderate neighbours; what I don't expect is the unwillingness of the front desk and security to take action because they can't hear anything; 4) Front desk telling me that I could not order to my room unless I paid a deposit, which would take 14 days to refund me if paid on my debit card; 5) The manner with which a particular staff member on the front desk answers the phone to me; 'YES' is not how I'd expect Jumeirah staff to answer the phone at a 5* hotel. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were made to feel very welcome. We were provided with refreshments and were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade! ||The apartment was so clean, modern and had plenty of space for our family. We were on the 14th floor and had amazing views. It was so cool to have our own balcony too! ||We had everything we needed including kitchen, laundry, several bathrooms and a spacious living area. We also appreciated all the free amenities and particularly liked the bottles of filtered water that were provided everyday.||The breakfast was so good. There was a great selection of hot food, fruit, salad, pastries etc to choose from. All very fresh and delicious. ||There are great facilities including a kids play area, sauna, steam room, spa, gym and an infinity pool overlooking the marina. We spent nearly everyday at the pool as it was so relaxing. ||The hotel itself is right on the marina and is conveniently located close to shops and restaurants. It was lovely to walk around there at night too and it felt very safe.||We did make several trips out and it was very easy to flag down taxis as there were plenty that passed by outside the hotel. ||The staff were so lovely and were especially attentive to my children. On our last morning we had an early flight to catch and the restaurant staff kindly prepared some breakfast to go for us which was so appreciated. ||There wasn’t anything bad but one of the bathrooms did initially have a slight off smell. Also there is construction happening nearby which we would hear occasionally but it didn’t disturb us too much.||We had an amazing stay here for our first trip to Dubai and highly recommend...
