The receptionists are totally unprofessional. I went to register for a course and one told me to come back next week, OK, it was half term. The other one phoned Rachel, (after asking how to spell her name) the lady who deals with admissions, then told me to take some forms. I already had them filled out. She also told me to come back next week. When I arrived for the course, I was told which room, but the receptionist had no idea where it was as he hadn't had a tour of the college! Yesterday a student collected her visitor lanyard from a pile at reception and said, 'It' s all wet. ' A receptionist told her a previous student had dropped it down the toilet....

not impressed at all. I enrolled on a course. Took out a £14,500 loan. I was greatly stressed on the course. Stress from Student Loans company, stress from the PGCE course, stress from outside sources, and stress from teaching students who in the majority wish only to cause disruption. I sought help from college staff for stress that was endured. I was told that I would not receive help for 5 weeks. 12 weeks later, still no help. I quit the course. I now have a £14,500 loan to repay with no value...

One star is too good! Motor vehicle course absolute shambles, various issues over the course then finally the correct information NOT been submitted to City & Guilds therefore cannot get the certificate or end point assessment, no contact to advise what is happening apart from when I email them first. For this reason I would never have a apprentice mechanic if they are training with Carlisle College, definitely adding difficulties to an already...
