Breakspeare House is absolutely perfect for a holiday in Scarborough and the surrounding area. It is very close to the beautiful Peasholm Park and also only a short walk away from the North Bay. There are several places to eat and have a drink close by and the location is great. The bungalow is so clean and well presented, it's a joy to stay in. Everything has been thought of, it's kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. We stayed in March and the home was lovely and warm throughout our stay, with plenty of hot water and there's even a log burning stove if you want to be extra cosy in an evening. It was handy having off street parking for our car as we didn't use it after our arrival, we enjoyed walking along the sea front and also caught a local bus to other areas. We had a lovely stay over the Easter holidays at Breakspeare house! We stayed as a family with grandparents and children ages 6 & 9 months. The house is perfectly equipped for your stay with everything you need! Joanne and her family have thought of everything and provided a high chair, and comfy cot as well as games to keep the little ones entertained! Immaculately clean on arrival and lovely and modern. Perfect location we visited peasholm park, miniature railway and water chute (5 min walk away) and also the sealife centre (15/20 min walk). Stayed here for 3 nights, 3 adults and 1 child age 14. Lovely, clean and well equipped ,included plastic plates and cups/beakers for toddlers. The mattresses were the most comfortable I've slept on in any holiday home (I'm prone to back problems). Nice large bathroom again including a step for toddlers to use for toilet/sink ,the 3rd toilet also handy if bathroom is in use. The only negative that wasn't really a problem for us is the toilet and sink in the on suite shower room is rather snug. The shower however is a good size.
