Cavern Quarter Apartments by The Castle Collection — Hotel in Liverpool

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY!! THEY STEAL YOUR DEPOSIT!

A couple days after checking out of this property (not immediately after checking out) I received an email stating that the full deposit totalling £150 was not going to be refunded.

Upon questioning this they said there was a bit of eyelash glue on the dressing table. Eyelash glue goes on your face meaning it is not strong and can easily be removed.

They said they had used acetone and that they still couldn't get rid of it. This abhorrent lie shocked me as simply rubbing your thumb on lash glue gets rid of it. I asked for proof of the lash glue being cleaned with acetone and the general manager, GEMMA PARKINSON, said she would do so the day after. She never sent me this even though she had promised to do so.

I sent a follow up email which I received no response to. I called the day after and they have told me that this has now all been replaced and they are unable to provide me of any proof.

Stayed in Apt 53 in June 2024 for one night with two friends. Booking was easy, we had great correspondence with Max and his reservations team. Clear entry instructions were sent in timely manner. It is a spacious, albeit sparsely decorated apartment. Two decent sized bedrooms (can be set up as twin beds), with comfortable mattresses and crisp clean bed linen. A wardrobe and bedside tables - but no bedside reading lamps! One bathroom w shower and a big living room with two sofas, tv, kitchenette. All clean, well equipped and super location. Though in a lively neighbourhood, the secondary glazing meant it was relatively quiet. No black out curtains, so quite light in the mornings. We’d definitely stay again. Nice apartment. A large kitchen/lounge, a bedroom with a super king bed, and a seperate bathroom. The kitchen had everything you needed. The apartment was pitilessly clean with new carpets. The only gripe I could have was that there was no soap in the bathroom. There was shampoo. Plenty of towels. The apartment is right next door to Matthew Street which had the Cavern Club etc. it was noisy until 11.30/midnight.
