DO NOT STAY HERE.

THEY ABUSE STAFF AND TELL LIES. THEY SUPPORT WORKPLACE HARRASMENT AND WORKPLACE BULLYING. YOU DONT PROTECT YOUR STAFF.

EVIDENCE OF FAILURE TO REPLY. STILL AWAITING REPLIES FROM OTHER PLATFORMS HOTEL ONLY REPLIED TO MY REVIEW BECAUSE ID TOLD THEM I PUT A PUBLIC REVIEW UP. WHAT ABOUT ALL THE OTHERS POOR REVIEWS.

WE HAVE SEEN THE MOULD THATS GROWING, WE WITNESSED THE ABUSE. We witnessed other guests complaining about the mould and asking for new rooms.

This reply from 'management' doesn't reflect the 30 minute conversation we had with 'management' this morning. Interesting how it just backflips.

THANK YOU FOR BLOCKING ME FROM BOOKING AGAIN. I WOULDNT STAY HERE, EVEN IF I WAS PAID TOO.

The only reason we are still at this hotel is because of Anca. Commutation with this hotel is non-existent. I tried to communicate with them and got a non answered response from Tatiana, and a non replied to email I sent from their website enquiry form. They also dont tell you in advance that they have two buildings. The main building, then more rooms, 4 houses down the street.

When I asked why we weren't told or the booking site doesn't say the hotel is over two buildings, Tatiana 's response is we dont communicate with guests. I then went on to explain, I'm aware, as I'm still waiting for a reply. I then asked how they have such small rooms for 3 people adults, as we have to climb over our suitcases to get to bed. Tatiana explained that the room size is on the website. It's not on Bookings. Com. I saw on the site 2 pictures for our 3 person room, not accurate at all. It also states the rooms are 185 ft sq. Ours was not. I had already tripped on the suitcases because there is nowhere to put them, not even 3 hooks for towels, there's 1 on the back of the door. We didn't have a towel rail either.

The incredibly poor attitude and demeanour from Tatiana is horrendous. Because I caught her out on not doing her job and her poor attitude, she got meaner. So I, in turn, Had to raise my voice to stop her talking over me while I was explaining elements.

I had to walk away and have someone else deal with her. Anca, who we had started our conversation before Tatiana just jumped in without being asked anything, was amazing. Actually wanted to help and work with us, actually greeted us when we approached the counter. In the end Anca showed us a new roo. That potentially we could move to, so we had space to have our suitcases accessible.

We later found out that Tatiana complained to their management about Anca, of false allegations of bullying in front of customers by Anca. Tatiana forgot that we were standing there the whole time and we witnessed Tatiana talk down to Anca, speak rudely and intimidate Anca.

As Tatiana is to be the first person guests speak to, she is in the wrong position for this hotel and her attitude is wrong being in customer service. On this current trip, this hotel is the 13th location in 4 weeks I've stayed in. Some I've spoken to with English as their 4th language. So, language is no barrier here.

Anca is the only reason we have stayed, so that we can actually speak to a manager and ensure the correct story is told to the manager and not a fabricated lie, by Tatiana trying to continue her...

Bed Bugs Alert!

Booked 7 nights in Mowbray Court Hotel because they are strategically located near train station which we appreciate. But the room was extremely small.

On the first night of my stay in room 216, I experienced some itching on my legs in the morning. Initially, I didn't think much of it. However, over the following two nights, the bites became significantly worse and increasingly uncomfortable. On the morning of September 9, I inspected the mattress and noticed what appeared to be dust, but upon closer observation, it was moving, which led me to believe there were bed bugs.

I immediately reported this to the front desk. While the hotel staff kindly offered to change my room, I could only make the switch after my trip to Bath. Upon my return on the evening of September 10, I was moved to room 211. Unfortunately, despite the change, I continued to experience bites—initially less severe, but by the second night in the new room, the situation had worsened. It became clear that bed bugs were present in both rooms.

Due to the inconvenience of moving rooms and the amount of luggage my family and I had, I chose not to report the issue again during my stay. Given that both rooms were affected, I suspect there may be a wider issue at the hotel.

As a tourist with a tight schedule, I was only able to visit a local pharmacy for anti-inflammatory medication to manage the itching and swelling. Pls see photo of my bed bugs bites. Upon returning home, I had to send all four pieces of luggage and our clothing for professional deep cleaning, as I was concerned about the risk of bringing bed bugs home.

Considering the severity of the situation, I wrote to the hotel about it, but hotel decided not to respond to me. So I think I should share my experience here.

Update :

After posting my Google review, the hotel owner finally responded, likely in reaction to it. I’ll be updating my review to reflect their response.

They claim no bed bugs were found after a detailed inspection, but during my stay, I saw some dust size crawling insects when I flipped the bedsheets. While I don’t want to engage in a back-and-forth since I’ve already left London, I do regret not recording what I saw at the time.

The hotel also suggested that I may have picked up the bed bugs elsewhere before arriving. However, I came directly from home, and Mowbray Court Hotel was my first stop in London. Over seven nights, I woke up each morning with fresh bites. How does that happen if I didn’t encounter bed bugs there?

After checking out, I stayed in another hotel in London for one night before heading home, and no new bites appeared. So, if this isn’t due to bed bugs at Mowbray Court Hotel, what could it be? An allergic reaction to the London weather or perhaps to...

I feel bad writing a review this honest, but here I go.

Where to start….

When we first entered the lobby, it had a stale unpleasant smell to it. Unfortunately the smell never went away. A reed diffuser or some candles or cleaning product would have made the place smell a lot nicer.

The lifts were so tiny that two people could barely fit comfortably inside. Especially when arriving with suitcases, my partner and I were squished in like sardines and couldn’t even move.

We expected the rooms to be small as per the description, however the photos are extremely different to the rooms. We had a double bed that was pushed up against one of the walls with a small walkway. No place to put our luggage, as the ‘cupboards’ were so narrow. In addition, the room lacked amenities. They only offered a kettle with instant coffee and bottles of water. No refrigerator, no cupboards, the phone didn’t work, and only shampoo in the shower - no conditioner.

The bathroom was so small that it would only fit one person standing inside it. When the bathroom fan turned on, old black dust started dropping from the ceiling onto our heads which was very unpleasant. The water pressure in the shower was also shocking. Each time I was having a shower, half of the water would turn off and it would sometimes turn scorching hot. I don’t know if this was because other guests were maybe using the water too.

The breakfast was ok. Just toast, croissants, cereal, hard boiled eggs (which my partner and I happened to get very sick from after eating).

The location was a while out of the city centre which was expected, however it was super easy to travel as the hotel is right behind Earl’s Court station, which made it very easy to travel around.

I also spoke to the front desk one night as there were kids running up and down the hallway screaming and slamming doors for hours and hours. I don’t know if they actually spoke to the families as this continued from 12pm until about 12am. The doors to the room slam if not closed with care, and you can hear other people’s rooms from inside your own room. I slept with earplugs in every night and was still woken up with noises from other guests.

It is definitely not worth the money. Room was way too small. The turnover service was very quick and efficient though which made the stay a bit...

It was the most tremendous experience at a hotel to date, I stayed at the dreamtel next door on my way coming to my final destination and took this sorry excuse of a hotel on my way back. There are no words to describe how bad this “hotel” is. First of all the pictures are so misleading, I understand hotels in london are small but there is no way the room we received was for a couple, it was too tight for a single person. Also the decor had nothing to do with the pictures. I believe it is because they sent us to the annex and not to the real hotel but I might be wrong on this. second, a full blown molded carpet awaits to greet you as you enter the room, you can feel the stench of the mold, shower is broken and all the water leaks from behind the wall, have fun walking in puddles at every shower. Third, cleanliness, this hotel had 3 flies in the room, two towels, no hand towel, no paper tissue, 1 roll of paper towels. TV was smashed into the wall and took about 50min to fix back to a normal position. Fourth the staff is so rude and not well mannered, I guess staff is underpaid and nonchalant. Cleaning staff will blast music in the morning while cleaning rooms. I called for extra paper towels and according to their policy it is a self serve hotel so you need to go get the paper towels at the reception. Also my card got deactivated for no reasons and when I went to get a new one, staff was like: oh its normal it happens sometimes and you have to come see us. And lastly the cherry on the cake, NOISE: the hotel has super thin walls, pretty much no privacy as you WILL hear your neighbors, it is also just next to a kids school so no need for an alarm in the morning, you will wake up to the clattering of footsteps and morning chants of the school. Please avoid at all costs, this is pretty much a two star hotel cover up, Thanks and I hope other people will write honest reviews like this one.

A nice place to stay for the convenience but that’s unfortunately where the experience ends. It looks decent and my experience wasn’t actually too bad. Staff were friendly towards us and the place was well serviced and clean. However I wasn’t a fan of 3 things that mattered for our stay. Firstly was the door leading to the adjacent room. I’ve never seen this before and it really matters when it comes to privacy. You can hear every word next door says and if they’re even remotely speaking it may keep you up at night - which leads to my second point; the mattress. This is probably back up by other reviews here but by god the mattresses are awful. Almost no support and you can feel every spring. Really doesn’t help if you already can’t sleep. Lastly is the shower, no pressure when on no matter how high you change the options. Not really good if you’re wanting to get grime off yourself. Also the temperature changes frequently from hot to cold which is strange as I showered at midnight so it can’t be due to multiple usage. Overall it was good for convenience and did a good job not being dirty. But other than that I tried to spend the least amount of time of my stay in the hotel. You could definitely find better elsewhere but if you’re just needing somewhere to leave stuff/just sleep then this will save money and do the job. That being said, I did give 2 star instead of 1 as they had luggage holding services which was amazing since our train was very late in the day and it meant we didn’t have to carry it around London.
