I'm stunned after reading the previous reviews as my experience was very different. Once seated at our table we were surprised by a dusty material single rose in a vase which wasn't expected after you see the extravagant chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Our waiter was very rude, whilst taking our order he was looking outside the window engaging in a conversation/joke with a colleague, laughing away to himself and not taking any notice of what we were saying. By this time we were not holding out much hope for the food that took a very long time to arrive. The pumpkin soup that my daughter ordered was bland and tasted as if it had come out of a tin. Her mozzarella sticks were still frozen inside. A goats cheese and super food salad was also ordered. These were so underwhelming. We ordered fries that never turned up and near end of meal decided to make an appearance. We would have said something but it was impossible to get anyone's attention. After asking to speak to the manager a very dismissive gentleman came over and literally just ignored every complaint .The full bill was then presented and when we questioned that the mozzarella sticks were still on there the waitress turned around and said " it's not my problem I didn't cook them" I have never known anything like this in my entire life. Completely shocked at the experience. Do not waste your money or time here. There are so many nicer...
Read moreI was served by Sohit and Manish, the experience was incredibly horrible. They forgot our drinks and let them sit for over 20 minutes before WE had to remind them to bring them to us. The drinks were good but it seemed like they also forgot our Afternoon Tea (2 orders) for over half an hour and when we asked Sohit about it he just said that it was coming, we were reassured by that but it didn’t come, we then asked Manish about it and he said the same thing, we then waited for another 15 minutes and when it came it was 2 regular (with meat) Afternoon Teas, we had ordered one with meat and one vegetarian so we had to wait for the other one again though it was a bit of a shorter wait. The food and drink however was great and we all loved it. But again the servers were talking loudly to each other, calling each other crazy, and many other things. That too in their native language which we understood. Another man just stood in front of a computer and did nothing, not even touch the computer during our whole visit. The bathroom was good and clean. When we asked Manish to put some of the extra food for take away for us he took everything but only put the main food and not the butter or Jam for the Scones. The packaging of the takeaway was good, everything was split according to what it was, desserts together, sandwiches...
Read moreOur first impression of the caffé was that it was artistic, beautiful, elegant and clean looking. We were seated near the window which gave us a view out onto the bustling London seats.
We were drawn in by the vegan options offered by the caffé as seen on the board outside and ordered the vegan pesto spaghetti and the vegan cheese gnocchi and neither disappointed, they both had a rich, creamy, thick vegan pesto sauce with a nice bite. The pine nuts and sun-dried tomato really brought out the chewiness of the spaghetti.
I was actually caught off guard massively by the vegan parmesan as it smelt identical to the real thing but the waiter reassured me that it was vegan and my partner confirmed it after trying it as he's been vegan longer than me and we had a couple of pleasant interactions after as I apologised if I'd come off rude as it was so well done it fooled me and then he mentioned that someone close to him is vegan and that he's well educated on veganism because of this so I really appreciated the understanding and patience as I sometimes tend to question things as I don't always immediately pick up on them due to my autism.
I'd definitely recommend going here with a date or a group of friends for a cozy afternoon or a...
