Dishoom is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in London, and it's not hard to see why. From the moment you step inside, the decor and ambiance take you back to the bygone era of Bombay. The newly opened Dishoom restaurant in Canary Wharf did not disappoint at all! The decor is stunning and the attention to detail is impressive, creating a unique and immersive dining experience. The staff are also incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The menu features a variety of classic Indian dishes with a modern twist, and I highly recommend trying the puri chole and pav bhaji. The puri chole is a delicious dish of spiced chickpeas and crispy bread, while the pav bhaji is a flavorful blend of vegetables served with buttered buns. Both dishes are bursting with flavor and served in generous portions, making them perfect for sharing. To accompany your meal, I highly recommend trying the mango lassi or the house chai, both of which are refreshing and complement the spicy flavors of the dishes perfectly. The mango lassi is a delicious and creamy drink made with fresh mango and yogurt, while the house chai is a warming and comforting tea that is brewed with a blend of aromatic spices.
For something more savory, the vada pav is a must-try. This popular Indian street food consists of a spiced potato fritter served in a soft bun with chutney and spices. It's a simple yet delicious dish that is perfect for a quick snack or a light meal.
Overall, Dishoom is a fantastic restaurant that offers authentic Indian cuisine in a charming setting. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared, and the service is attentive and friendly. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for some delicious Indian food.

Let me start from the beginning. I walked in with a friend and was told we had to wait 25 minutes for a table. This was fine with us as they told us we could sit at the bar. When we got there we were immediately poured complimentary cups of water. We both got the bollybellini cocktails which had the PERFECT ratio of alcohol to mixer. I loved it. The bartender seemed to notice my friend didnt like hers though and came over to ask if she’d like to order something else - she got a passionfruit mocktail which she enjoyed. The staff here are very attentive and friendly; they kept refilling our waters without having to ask!
We got seated at a small table for two which at first I was worried wouldnt fit all the food we ordered. But as I mentioned before the staff are very attentive and kept clearing our empty plates quickly, making room for the rest of our dishes.
We ordered the okra fries (AMAZING), chilli chicken, lamb samosas, chicken ruby and garlic naan. A special mention to the 3 sauces they gave us because all three tasted amazing - coming from someone who is particular with their sauces. I cant stop thinking about the okra fries.
After we finished our starters and mains, we were offered a dessert menu but as we had ordered so much we were very full. Definitely will be coming back to try them next time along with your famed brunch. The mango sweets given with the bill are delicious as well.
Overall the service from the staff was fantastic and the food was served at perfect timing. The quality of the food itself is amazing and deserves all the hype it gets. The atmosphere and architecture of the place is beautiful. The design and music made me feel like I was transported to a vintage...

Walking reservation, Dull receving by our reception lady with no eye contact and an artificial smile and told to wait in bar with a pager fob till the table is ready.
Bar:
The Barman was great quickly greeted us and served water first without even asking for and gave us the menu. We ordered our drinks and got served. The cocktails were real treat and amazing. we had a bit chat with the barman. Was lovely.
Our pager blinked and we went with our drinks in our hands(as per Dishoom rule the person who directs you should get your Drinks to your table).
We been taken care by a lovely waitress Nanu, she was very helpful and considerate and well knowledgeable in the menu and explained, suggested well and the portions sizes.
To start House chaat : was good with good amount garnish of carrot, beet and mooli noodles which was very good refreshing.
Chillies chicken: good portion size and presented plan and simple. But too salty and too brown in colour to my liking and excess soy sauce added.
The 3 house chutneys were a good touch but again mint chutney was too sweet instead of tangy, and hot chutney I could feel coriander seeds were not well toasted before grinding well.
Monk fish curry , Aubergine chutney and black dal was delight. We ordered garlic naan Romani roti and naan. We’re all good.
Finally we finished with a house chai which was very beautiful done with nodes of black pepper, ginger, cardamom and was well brewed. But was too sweet to a normal palate. We informed to our waitress and she quickly apologised and offered us coffee. But we declined politely as we were already full.
