TownePlace Suites by Marriott Aberdeen — Hotel in Aberdeen Township

Started off badly when I had to track down the front desk clerk and two of them appeared. One should have been manning the desk. They were very young ladies. Couldn't find my reservation. Good think I have the app on my phone, since I needed the confirmation number. Hotel spelled my last name wrong. Overall, just not a good impression from the girls working the front desk.

The room was very large and the bedding/bathroom was clean. Nice to see a real table and 4 chairs.

I had requested an extra pillow through the app prior to our arrival that wasn't there. I like to prop up in bed and read, so this was kind of annoying.

There was a spot on the wall where a picture was missing (hooks were still in the wall, but no picture), the carpet was FILTHY. Stains and spots all over room and the hallway was even worse. The carpet either needs a good steam cleaning or to be ripped out and replaced.

Odd placement for the TV and chair. Can't sit in the chair to watch TV. Only place to watch tv was from the beds. For a room that large, better layout could be done. But it was nice to have the tray on the ottoman to set a drink on.

The view out the window was of a brick wall about 12" from the glass. If I were staying more than 1 night I wouldn't want to be stuck with that view.

Breakfast was good. Would have been nice to have some fresh fruit, but it was close to 8:00 so maybe we missed it.

Overall, this hotel served its purpose if a bed for the night, but falls well short of the standards for other Marriott properties I...

This was a wonderful, friendly, clean and conveniently located hotel. Staff was helpful and nice, rooms were extremely clean and comfortable for my family of 4. The pull out couch was uncomfortable, but that's what you get with a pull out couch! Other than that it was a great time. It was great to have a separate room for our kids while we could stay up and enjoy some wine...The smaller pool is kid friendly with a waterfall mushroom and a couple spray up jets. My kids (7 months and 4 years) had a blast. My 4 year old asked when we could come back. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee that was available at all times was always fresh! Probably because I drank it all! :) They had apples and a very friendly atmosphere when you walked in. I was even "ok" with my 7 month old crawling on the carpet...hotel carpet, yuck I know, but it was clean and not matted and flat like a lot of places! I can't say anything really bad about this place. It had a nice sized fridge and freezer and a stove top, dishwasher and microwave as well. That was awesome for us and would be great for those staying a longer period of time! The closet and drawer space was nice for all of our kids stuff also! We did have a larger stand shower, which was good for my 4 year old, but we do have a smaller bath we packed for our 7 month old, but he would have been find standing in the shower also. My boyfriend and I stayed at your hotel this past weekend and I just wanted you to know that we had the best stay at your hotel! I know that the TownePlace Suites has been open for a couple of years now but that was my first time stepping foot into your hotel, and I have to say that I am very impressed at how new it still looks!

We stayed in room 317 and I can't say enough nice things about the room. From what I could tell from the website, it is the smallest room you offer but there is more than enough space for two people, not to mention the decor was on point. And clean!!! I was the Guest Service Manager at a hotel in Mankato, MN (where I now reside) for three years and can appreciate a good housekeeping staff that pays attention to details.

I wanted to compliment your front desk staff for their helpfulness. Of course I can't remember their names but it was the girl who worked Friday night, May 17th (we checked in around 9:30pm), and the girl who worked Saturday morning, and I believe the gentleman working night audit on Saturday night. Your breakfast bar hostess who worked on Saturday and Sunday mornings was also spectacular! The girl working Friday night was especially conversational in helping me keep up on what was happening in Aberdeen.

Anyways, you and your staff keep up the good work! You should be proud of your hotel and your staff. I will definitely recommend your hotel to people I know who travel...
