Let's get straight into it: It was fine. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't very satisfied. I've been here a few times and tried different things on the menu.
The Good: There are a variety of dishes (all taste pretty good or fine)! If you dont know exactly what you want to eat, this is a good place that serves a few decent options.
The Bad: The cost was very expensive for the quality of food we got. I understand Ruby Tuesday is a chain, but honestly, I am very surprised how much $20 a plate gets you (I barely felt satisfied when ordering the shrimp scampi recently). I only got 10 shrimp, and it was just alot of pasta with maybe a little flavor. Honestly, I am confident I could recreate this recipe at home easily.
I've eaten other dishes here, such as the steak, the quesadilla, the burgers, and chicken crispers. The steak? Not bad, but I'd go to Maverick's or Minervas in town for a better steak at the same cost. The quesadilla? Similar story. I'd rather go to Santo Tequila or Dulces or other restaurants in town. I could even make that myself too. Burgers? Not bad, but I'd rather go to Pounders for a similar or better cost, with a significantly better flavor. Chicken crispers aren't bad, but it's hard to go wrong with fried chicken things 😂
All In all, I can't say it is "bad food" but I can't say it is good, or even what eating out should be (in my opinion). The atmosphere and service has been fine everytime I've been, but honestly, I think your dollar is better spent at some of the before-named restaurants in town.
To the Ruby Tuesdays chain I simply say this: Try adding more flavor, and less cost on your dishes. Maybe it could be...
Read moreMy family of 8 went to the Aberdeen SD location on Saturday evening 11-8-25 at 7:45pm after a Northern state Volleyball game. The restaurant was fairly slow with only a couple tables with guests seated at. We waited over 10 min before even being acknowledged while we watched a female wrapping silverware at the bar and several other employees moving around behind the bar . Finally young gentleman came over and said the host will be here in 1minute. A few minutes later another young man came walking out from somewhere behind the bar tucking inhis shirt and definitely looking very annoyed that we were there. He looked at us and rudely said How many? We said 8 and he said hold on and walked away. We waited again for atleast 5 min and then we see him laughing and talking to the female sitting at the bar wrapping silverware. Still not seating us or getting a table ready....finally I said very loudly I am sorry but you just lost our business and we walked out. I understand you close at 9pm but we could have easily been in and out by then had someone- anyone greeted and seated us. You would think with the economy the way it is these days you would want all the business you can get! It was horrible customer service. This was our first and only experience at a Ruby Tuesdays. We don't have any reason to...
Read moreUsually good service. Ate there last night. They burnt my mojito so bad! The waiter and I both smelled it. I tried to drink it but only had two sips. Told him I didn't want. The mojito was not mixed at all. They didn't take it off the check. I've had their coconut mojitos before without a problem and explained to the waitor. He said next time I need to order the regular one. But why? I love the coconut ones when they aren't burnt. I was very surprised at this. We took the price of the drink out of his tip since he wasn't trying to do well with customer service. I couldn't even taste any coconut flavor. He even acknowledged smelling the alcohol while bringing it to me, so he knew it probably wasn't made correctly. 15% tip was 10 dollars, mojito 9 dollars he got 1 dollar. He seemed nice at first but you could read agitation all over his face and his demeanor after I said no more drinks. If the bartender was that sloppy, why would I want a replacement. And don't tell me to order a different mojito next time when I like the coconut mojito. We won't be going there for a while as we feel uncomfortable about that situation. He created a very awkward...
