If you are happy to pay for a broken amenity with at least 30 years+ in use, at a price 3-5 times higher than market fair price, you can’t miss this hotel. The hotel's amenities are outdated and often don’t work well. If guests attempt to use it and results in damage, the hotel holds guests fully responsible. The financial charges are 3-5 times higher than the market price for similar items. There’s no transparency how much they charge. The hotel manager Nicole is unfriendly to customers when explaining the charges over the phone. I filed a complaint against her on the IHG website, but the complaint was forwarded to her for handling, which shocked me on the obvious breach of conflict of interest. I couldn’t think about anything else than “they don’t care about customers at all.” Ultimately, they insisted on charging $150 for an old broken toilet tank lid, even though I explained that the toilet water was leaking and my 70 year old mother, trying to figure out what’s happening, lifted the tank lid and the tank unfortunately fell on floor due to slippery. I informed hotel staff immediately and was told it would be fine as the hotel would anyway goes into renovation in Oct. Nobody told me I would be charged at the time of check out, even though the incident was reported a day before checkout. I found the charges of my full deposit 1 week after checkout and didn’t find out what the charges were for after a couple of phone calls back and forth. The charges had zero transparency. It was a terrible experience interacting with the hotel manager and customer care/complaint handling department at IHG. I stayed at this hotel because it was arranged by our tour operator. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and I would be very cautious booking hotels...
Read moreOverall a pretty bad stay.
Pros (+) Pretty good parking, breakfast was good, the clerk at the front desk was very flexible with guests, good location close to the airport, Good amount of goodies in the bathroom, and the workout room has all the necessary machines.
Cons (-) Workout room smells bad, and the water in there said "needs service" so I told the front desk, and two weeks later I came back and it still needs service not a huge deal but an inconvenience, even though there were Multiple signs prohibiting it multiple people were smoking right outside and inside the hotel smelled awful, wouldn't have been as big of a deal if the staff hadn't seen it and done nothing about it. The plumbing definitely needs a remodel, the shower and sink would not stop dripping the Entire time we were there super annoying and wasteful, contacted the front desk and they said they would send somebody up, never happened. The room had a bad odor and the desk was covered in a sticky substance. The pool was dirty despite having to wait an hour for the maintenance to clean it, the pool room was very hot, the chairs have been replaced with shorter more uncomfortable chairs and the hot tub has been removed completely not sure what that's about( it did say on the website that it only had a pool). Housekeeping was promised on the 3rd day but they didn't come the whole week. My only other complaints are the bathroom door didn't lock, and the gift shop goods were EXTREMELY overpriced, and I know some places have to make ends meet but sheesh $8 for a soda? My final complaint being a big one the front desk clerk was extremely helpful but took FOREVER I waited in line after 2 people for 40 minute because he kept picking up the phone as soon as it rang and kept...
Read moreI deeply regret my experience at this establishment and feel compelled to offer a warning to potential patrons.
Allow me to provide some context: my significant other had flown in my closest friend as a surprise for my proposal. Following the proposal, my friend attempted to check-in to the hotel but was met with considerable resistance from the front desk clerk, Troy.
She promptly contacted my fiancé and me, who were just trying to enjoy our night as a newly engaged couple, expressing her dismay with Troy's behavior towards her, which we both witnessed during our phone call with him. Troy was dismissive, condescending, and even "mansplained" the check-in process. We were left waiting while he attended to other guests.
After some time, Troy contacted us and continued his unprofessional conduct by speaking over us, belittling us, and implying that we were inferior because we had only paid a deposit for the cheapest room. Despite our willingness to pay the balance, we were met with disrespectful treatment.
To add insult to injury, it became clear that Troy was also racially biased. He provided helpful and courteous service to a group of white men (see attached photo of Troy and guests) after he had previously been dismissive and condescending to us. Following this incident, my friend no longer felt safe staying at this hotel with Troy having access to her room.
We contacted corporate to voice our concerns and seek a refund. The corporate representative was understanding and accommodating, but to our surprise, Troy was the individual who contacted us back. This was an extremely disappointing and reprehensible decision, given his...
