Food is always good, as itâs hard to mess up a salad but this particular visit yesterday was disappointing to say the least. My friend and I were treated as bothersome nuisances as we were unaware we arrived 30 mins prior to closing. No one was in line when we arrived, however, our âgreetingâ was âWeâll be with you shortly.â We waited, confused, for about a min or two and then was dryly helped by a worker. Another worker proceeded to clean and wipe all around the food, even taking some items out the bar as to let us know they were ready to go and not to wanting to serve us. The first worker made it to the end of the line helping my friend as I was still at the beginning of the line waiting on toppings other than lettuce. Mind you, The first worker fixed our two salads but in a not so timely manner because the other worker refused to help her and continued to clean instead. My salad bowl was literally beside the second workerâs hand waiting on ingredients as she cleaned with the other hand. I watched her take the items I asked for out the bar (as if to put away for the night) and for whatever reason she didnât give them to the worker actually making the salads. She only further inconvenienced us. Shortly afterwards, a white couple came in and the second worker not only rushed to take her gloves off and attend to them but she greeted them kindly and warmlyâ-polar opposite of what we got. âWelcome to Salata, how may I help you...âThe lady customer asked if they were closing and the worker told her âOh no, we still have 30 mins til close. You all are fine, no worries.â The white couple behind us made in thru the line in half the time it took us because they were actually treated like humans, and more importantly paying customers. I expressed my frustrations while still in line and the first worker just looked cluelessly instead of doing or saying anything. The worker at the register (worker #3) was far more pleasant but by that time, the damage was too far done and for the first time in life, I did not leave a tip. I will not be back.
I forgot to mention that salad prices have gone up $1 but the portions have gone down. Workers are very stingy, as if the customers are not the ones being...
Read moreThe service here is usually good. But today it was horrible. I always get the large bowl with my choice of how much toppings I like. Today the servers were just sprinkling a few pieces of what I chose. Such a little amount that I had to ask for more two or three time. I guess the server Guierrmo decide that he would fix me or try to embarrass me in some way by putting an even smaller amount when I asked for more for example , I asked for diced strawberries he put a teaspoon amount when I asked for more he scooped up three single diced strawberries on the spoon then I asked for more then he dipped one diced piece and put it in my salad no one said any thing. This behavior continued on to the croutons.l asked for more croutons and Guiellmo open the bag and added two more single croutons to the bag. So I ask for another serving of croutons by this time I was very irritated. I was ignored Then another female server who didnât have on a name badge came from the back to prepare the bag croutons as she prepared them she was speaking to me in very irritated unfriendly voice saying âMaâam its no problem to give you extraâ. I asked to speak to the manger no one came the cashier gave me a card with the district managers information I call him while in the restaurant before leaving this review. No answer but left a message.I went back to the counter to get the name of the lady with no name tag and she came out of the kitchen with the same rude demeanor saying her name YANCY FLORES loudly and then started spelling it out loud which was very unprofessional. This location just lost a customer. Please review the recording for today store around 11:30 am. I ordered the larger salad but was the amount of...
Read moreI felt like eating a salad so I decided to stop by and dine-in at Salata. I got a traditional Caesar Salad with a few tomatoes and salmon. The restaurant wasn't busy, but the ladies on the line seemed to be in a rush. I have only gone to Salata a couple of times, so I was trying to think of what more I wanted. Which is why the first lady seemed impatient. The second lady was very sweet. She seemed to be in a rush, but it didn't feel like she was rushing me, more that she was being rushed by her coworker.
The food was okay, definitely not worth $17. I would expect better quality. I know the store itself doesn't set prices, corporate does, so I don't blame the employees.
When I got to my table to sit, the spot was dirty. So I know this location doesn't sanitize between customers. At the time of me sitting down, there were 5 other people in the establishment and there were 3 ladies by the register talking amongst themselves. I noticed because I wanted to take my tray back to them so they wouldn't have to worry about picking it up. A woman who sat behind me left after she finished eating. No one sanitized the table and seat there as well. The same happened when a couple of people were sitting in front of me and they left. Sanitization is part of the procedure of keeping the establishment clean in the food industry, even before COVID. Please make sure you are sanitizing...
