The Social House — Restaurant in Arlington

I have a lot of respect for food service workers , but I left here with lost faith in this establishment. A party of five walked in on a half crowded restaurant and waited half an hour for somebody to take our order. The food came before the drinks which is relatively unheard of. While the food was phenomenal and the kitchen staff deserves credit for their fabulous meal , the front end service was atrocious. The waitress never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks or needed anything. After we finally received our food and enjoyed our meal our waitress was too busy flirting with her coworkers to get our check. After about a 20 minute wait , one of our table members went to ask the bartender if we can get our checks cause our waitress was missing in action. The waitress brought our checks which failed to be assigned properly , took our cards , and then spent another 5-10 minutes closing our checks. She then returned back to the table and stated they had run the wrong cards for the wrong checks and needed to get her manager to void the transactions and fix them. We then proceeded to watch her get a manager who fiddled with our cards and checks for 10+ minutes , then the waitress take our cards and checks to the back for who knows what , while the manager texted on his phone and watched the basketball game for another 5+ minutes. So the waitress finally returns and states a long , absolutely ludicrous story of how there actually was no mistake but she fixed it anyways cause she thought there was. No apology , no reasoning. So for whatever reason this waitress had to use 3 different register kiosks two upfront and one in back to complete the transaction , all while her manager loafed around texting and watching basketball in front of us. We left what we felt was an honest tip for the poor service and we kept our receipts. We saw on other Google reviews this place has been mischarging and making up tips for other people as well so we will be tracking how these show up on our bank statements. I wouldnt trust that establishment to run my card in the future... Owner should definitely investigate why flirting and phones and basketball games takes priority...

So this was my first time visiting the social house with my partner- and I’ll admit, I was a bit disappointed. For starters- as we approached the building a young girl with a cropped hoodie is eating celery off a guests plate (most likely a friend) and returns to work- no handwashing. Turns out, this poor mannered young lady is our server, Yency. Upon introducing herself, she informs us that she is “new” and started 1 month ago, asking us to be patient with her. We ordered a frozen flight (4), one of which was not frozen- more likely than not- due to the heavy alcohol ratio (too much alcohol=does not freeze). All the drinks were very tasty though. We started off with a spicy hummus which was delicious, then ordered buffalo chicken sliders (good, but not great) and a steak flatbread. My partner does not care for mushrooms, so I requested the mushroom sauce be on the side. When the food came out, the mushroom sauce was a thick cold heap of mushroom paste in a small saucer. I understand the sauce is probably stored cold, but to bring it to the table without simply warming it was frustrating. She was nice enough to have it heated it up for us. It was clear she was cut and ready to leave. She hovered around our table, continuously trying to clear our table - which made us feel rushed. The ambiance was ok- no music or “vibe” and the women’s restroom was dirty, two dispensers with no soap and an overflowing trash can- do better guys. All in all, it was an OK experience. The service was poor, at best. The ambiance was acceptable and the food saved the experience from a 2 star with no chance...

Had lunch here & it did not disappoint!

It was a bit busy due to the end of lunch & a Post Malone concert at the stadium but the staff was amazing! Met a friend here, the host greeted me immediately upon arrival, I said I was meeting a friend who was here & he pointed me in his direction. The staff that brought out our food were also super courteous.

Austin was our waiter... he looked like he might have also been working the bar. Busy dude, but he was super attentive to all his tables & did not skip a beat. Chill personality, he also had great recommendations on food.

Chicken Pasta - Yes. Just get this. No regrets. It has chicken, panchetta, mushrooms, & mascarpone. I'm also not going to deny the carbs, enjoy the perfectly buttered toasted garlic bread.

Meatloaf - Another win. My friend doesn't even like green veggies but liked these. Huge servings with great flavors.

Mont Blanc - Heaven. Perfect balance of ice cream, cake, & sauce.

Espresso Martini - Yep. That Cardi B alcohol infused whip cream, winner.

Prices are more than fair with the A+ quality of food they provide. $75 with tax/before tip for two entrées, desserts, & two drinks. Food comes out fast & delicious! Atmosphere is so great, I love the open space with big windows... that natural light makes it feel so spacious. Outdoor seating is a available too! Really cool vibe & and awesome experience,...
