Booked a stay here for the wife and I while doing some in state traveling for our Anniversary. First red flag was when they told me they would be placing a $50 fee on my card for "incidentals" which I have NEVER been charged for at any Wyndham in the past. So we asked about paying for the room with a card and paying the "incidental fee" with cash and was then told it would be $100 and we would get it back in the morning when we checked out. Second red flag was when I asked about the pool and what the hours were and the hot tub rules as far as kids go. We were told kids were allowed in the pool area until it closes at 11:00 p.m. but they were allowed in the hot tub anytime throughout the day. (Any hotel I've ever stayed at usually has a rule about kids being in a hot tub.) This was one of the reasons the wife and I chose this particular location was for the hot tub. Third, as soon as we got to the room and opened the door it just absolutely stunk like stale urine. We opened the bathroom door and noticed even the toilet paper wasn't folded over like most hotels do to indicate it was a thorough cleaning. So we started taking pictures of all the discrepancies in the room to make sure we weren't going to get charged. Things like the water stained door, peeling on the door, a hole in the blind, mold or something on the back of the blind, food scraps and whatever else on the floor in a couple places. They obviously don't care about cleanliness at this place or customer satisfaction. That was when we noticed all the crap all over the floor and that the room obviously had not been cleaned very well. Needless to say we did not stay here and went back and demanded a refund. We did get our $100 incidental fee back, but we're told that the card that was charged wouldn't see the refund for 10 to 15 business days. Personally I wouldn't recommend staying here, and definitely will not be returning. We found a Days Inn about 7 miles away that had no hot tub, no pool, but was much cleaner and friendlier staff. If we are ever back in Green Bay we know where we won't be staying that's for sure. If I could give this place a -...
Read moreThird Stay -Enjoyed our stay again BUT we did use the pool while it was pretty busy and we did see a LOT of people take some really bad falls on the very, very slippery pool area floors. It would definitely be worth the hotel investing in some rubber mats of some sort for a walkway across the pool area to help prevent the risk of severe injuries. The rubber floor mats/rugs that are in entrances at businesses would be well worth the cost for the safety of the guests.
Update-we stayed again and were able to use the pool and hot tub. The pool was so warm, which was a great surprise. The hot tub was a great temperature, they were both clean and well maintained. Will continue to be a good go-to for an affordable, short stay.
Pleasantly surprised with how nice our stay was. We obviously didn't expect anything over the top but I was worried it would be rundown and not clean as some of the older hotels can be. It looks like it was recently updated, the room was nice, everything was clean. The bed was very comfortable, pillows were great. The breakfast was nice, small but a nice basic selection for a free breakfast. The staff was kind and seemed to be on top of things. We forgot suits so we didn't get to try out the pool and hot tub but it was a nice size pool, the area looked clean, it would be nice for a family with kids, as there's plenty of room and tables to sit around while the kids are swimming. Also, the rooms were quiet, even though the parking lot was full, there was hardly any noise from other...
Read moreI made reservations online 5 months prior to our stay. The website said pets are welcome. When we got to the hotel with our dog, they said we coun't have him there. So I called my sister and asked her to watch him, because the comedian i had bought tickets to see, Nate Bargatze, was starting in 20 minutes. So after driving him to her house and then going to the Resch center and finding a parking spot, we missed the first 45 minutes of the show. After the show, I looked at my reservation email I had from when I booked the room in January, and it said pets were allowed. So I went and showed the guy who said we couldn't have him in there, and he tried arguing with me saying there's a sign on the wall in hotel behind the desk that says no pets allowed. I said, "Well I didn't come in here and book it in January, I booked it online, and it said pets were allowed. " I told him I want my money back and then he said the dog could stay. I said, "So now that we missed half the show and had to drive all over finding someone to watch our dog, now all of a sudden he can stay?" Told him I just wanted my money back and I'd go find another hotel. He refused to give me my money back, even though he admitted he was wrong. I will never stay at this hotel or any...
