This experience could've been better. I had high hopes for this place, which attracted us because of the pool and hot tub area. We arrived around 7pm with hot food from a restaurant nearby. When I went to check in, the guy at the front desk was really nice. He explained the situation about losing a lot of their staff earlier this week and that they were short handed. I understood that it was out of their hands and that we needed to be patient. So we sat and waited... Needless to say nothing happened for a long while. I spoke with the general manager on duty who looked like she was on the verge of tears, since we had already paid for our room, we just needed to be patient since there was only like 3 people cleaning 100 rooms. She offered us some snacks and drinks for our wait but my concern was really our hot food. By the time they got us a room together (which was 2 hrs later) our food was cold. When we got to the room, surprise... no microwave, just a super tiny fridge. When I went to the front desk to see if they had anywhere we could warm up our food, the general manager was gracious enough to take us to the VIP pantry on the top floor, which was practically fully stocked with a full kitchen. It was really nice of her to help us to warm our food, she also offered us more snacks for the inconvenience this caused. So we got into the room and it was just ok. It was kinda cold so I tried using the heater, it practically fell apart as soon as I touched it. The cover was extremely loose and falling off. That was really the only eyesore of our room. It was comfortable and the pool was very fun. Unfortunately, their Starbucks and restaurant were closed due to low staffing and there wasn't any breakfast either. But I completely understand how frustrating it can be when the start of the weekend comes and the staff has been drastically reduced. I'm sure when they are fully staffed again, it will be worth another visit.

My girls really liked everything about this place. They loved the pools, they loved the slide, and they loved the room. There was a smart tv and we could watch Netflix with our personal subscription. Bathroom was clean and shower was nice. There were lots of restaurants nearby. My only complaint was that there were no microwaves in the rooms, although there was one in the lobby. It was old and low powered and rather dirty. There was no lifeguard present on Friday night and group of teenage boys were roughhousing and monopolizing the main pool most of the evening, which made it impossible for younger swimmers to swim there. Probably on other night it with better behaved guests this would not be a problem.

Finally got a room at 8pm after being here for 8 hours waiting for a work function. Rooms are nice but understaffed clearly and nobody seems to care. No elevator to my room 225-248. I get that staffing is an issue these days but there are reservations made well in advance so these problems can be prevented. Additionally the guest package storage system in the lobby is very unsecured. My USPS envelope was just sitting out on a high top table next to the desk unsupervised.

From the moment we arrived to the hotel, we were greeted with a very clean, modern style lobby. The front desk agent was very approachable and friendly. I also got the opportunity to meet the front desk manager, and she was so professional and definitely cared about our stay. From the beginning, I knew this would be perfect. We got to our room, 115, POOL SIDE, two queen beds. The bathroom was immaculate. Very clean, very bright. The mirror is perfect for selfies and makeup application, although I used it for neither. The shower was excellent and my children used the bath tub. Note: the hot water takes a bit to heat up, and doesn’t get incredibly scalding hot if you’re someone who likes burning hot showers. For us, it was just right. I appreciated that it didn’t get unbearably hot, but I could see how someone else wouldn’t prefer this. The pools were great. We stayed midweek so the water slide wasn’t running. We basically had the pool area to ourselves. The temperature of the water was perfect and our little one had an amazing time in the kiddie pool area. I will say, people must come in and out from the side doors bringing in gravel, so there were some rocks on the floor of the pool area. However, it wasn’t enough to dampen our enjoyment. Note to staff, the pool area floors need to be swept every day. I found a receipt from a week ago. Other than that, we found the whirlpool and pools to be excellent and just what we needed to have a good time. Our beds were very comfortable on the medium to firm side. If you like a plush mattress, this bed may not be for you. The mattresses are brand new and we noticed a pillow top on them. I didn’t wake up with any aches and pains, I felt very supported, and our kids slept really well. The pillows are exquisite and we had a combination of feather and foam.

The restaurant, Urban 80, was absolutely delectable. Where had this secret been hiding???? We got the pub chips with the blue cheese beer dip. These were made in-house and were very good. My fiancé noticed a very strong cheese flavor, but we enjoyed it. My daughter got the cheese pizza from the kids menu and advised it was the best pizza of her entire life (she’s 4...) and my oldest got the Mac and cheese off the appetizer menu. She enjoyed that as well, but said it was a little greasy. My fiancé enjoyed the beer battered walleye sandwich with fries. No complaints there. The fish is wild caught. I ordered the tenderloin filet. It came with seasonal vegetables and honey mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. The potatoes weren’t as sweet as I thought they would be. They were delicious and seasoned very well. I received a carrot/onion mix as my veggie. Unfortunately I do not like onions, so the jury was out on this one. Our server was over the top AMAZING and the sole reason we’ll be back to Urban 80. (Besides the awesome food.)

Everyone is so accommodating and friendly here. Janis helped us to plan our wedding block of rooms here and our rehearsal/breakfast space. She’s greater than gold and an absolute doll! I love her personality. She’s so passionate about hospitality.

Breakfast was superb as well. If I were anyone...business, family, romantic couple, leisure traveler, Packers game goer...this would be my first stop. As a travel agent, I’ve traveled around the world, and never have I ever had such a phenomenal experience, top to bottom, at a hotel. Definitely recommending this to my customers and everyone considering this hotel- do it. It’s worth...

I will not be back. Staff is horrible and many things broken.

When we checked in I asked the staff member about the breakfast since we only received two vouchers. They responded that the room only came with two. When I checked my email confirmation later that night it clearly stated breakfast would be included for 2 adults and all children under 12 registered to the room. The only nice thing the front desk person was able to do was put us near one of the people in our group, which we were thankful for. The pool was not the best experience. On the positive side, I was happy to see there was a lifeguard on duty despite signage all over that said "No Lifeguard on Duty." However, one area of the pool was closed for maintenance, and the hot tub was not working. We asked the lifeguard if there was a way we could turn up the temperature because it was just as cold as the pool. He said "It's just not working well right now." Later that night a member of our group (we had 4 families staying in the same hotel as part of group) said something to the front desk and they seemed unaware of the issue. We were not the only people upset. We watched many adults head to the hot tub, put their foot in and get right back out. Plenty of towels were available in the pool area. "Welcome to Urban80 where we are not open, and the hours don't matter" After swimming, around 10pm we were in the Urban80 restaurant attached to the hotel. One of the members in our group wanted something from the kitchen, but the bartender (who was still serving drinks) said the kitchen was closed. The menu clearly states that Urban80 was open until 11pm. The menu also stated the restaurant would open at 6am. When we were heading back to our rooms, the front desk person (not the same one as check in) told us it's usually around 6:30am. At 6:40am the next morning I was down in the lobby and did not see anyone in the kitchen. Our group began placing orders by 7am. By 7:35am we were told that all of our orders were cancelled because "they thought we were leaving." We had to leave by 7:40am for an event, but no one told them to cancel the orders. I WAS UNABLE TO USE THE VOUCHERS THAT I PAID ADDITIONAL FOR. Upon checkout the person at the front desk did not ask me how my stay was. I did not have the time to discuss issues with the front desk because the delay with the breakfast staff caused us to have to rush out to our event. In addition to all of problems I had with the staff, there were also issues with my room. The wallpaper was peeling off of the wall. The lampshade was broken so it didn't sit straight on the lamp. The curtains were difficult to open and close. The sheets weren't on the bed all the way. The back piece of the hair dryer that prevents hair and dust from entering the inside of the hairdryer was broken.

Now for the positives: The hotel was close to restaurants and Kwik Trip. It was easy for us to drive to the ReschExpo Center for our event. The lobby was clean.

Overall I would NOT stay here again, or recommend this hotel. It is not...

The only pros I have about staying at this location are that the rooms were clean, and its a relatively good location.

The cons I have are MANY. I stayed for almost 2 weeks so I saw what it was like during the week and on the weekend.

Staff were generally friendly to your face but behind the scenes have very little consideration for guest happiness. There was usually a staff member at Starbucks but rarely anyone on the restaurant side. I was there for a training and had limited lunch time so it was easier to travel outside the hotel to get food (and much faster) than waiting for a staff member to show up. Staff then told our group organizers that outside food was not to be brought into the hotel so when we went to lunch, we couldn't bring it back to eat if comfortably in the conference room or common areas. I typically went to starbucks to get coffee but was amazed when no decaf was brewed at close to 8am. After waiting an hour for breakfast when there was only one other guest, I always ate out, since in less than an hour I could drive several blocks, get breakfast eat it, and be back for class.

The hotel also happened to be repaving their whole parking lot during my stay. I was told at check-in there may be some noise in the morning, but honestly the noise wasn't the problem. Staff failed to get contact/car information for guests at check-in so they relayed through our group organizers at the last moments that cars would be towed if not moved. When the paving started, the chemical smell throughout the lobby was sickening (especially being pregnant).

My room's window was across from a back door of the pool area. During the week it wasn't an issue, but during the weekend when the water slide opened it was constant noise. People in the pool area would prop the door open and loudly be hanging out just outside my window. This went on until 10pm. Even though it was a weekend, I am pregnant and just desperately wanted to sleep.

Room temperature was also impossible to control. Since I'm pregnant, I sleep hot. Even with the thermostat set at 65 the room wouldn't get colder than 70 and I was constantly waking up hot. But the conference room our group was in was also freezing. We had to ask the hotel staff to adjust it EVERY DAY. It was 80 outside but I had to wear a coat in the room.

There is no microwave anywhere in the hotel either, so good luck reheating any leftovers. At least the rooms have little fridges so you can buy some provisions...
