The room itself was clean. The toiletries were stocked and everything worked, but still there are still several issues (one small and one what I consider a SERIOUS issue) that keeps me from giving this hotel a more positive review. With the room itself, the blankets were lumpy and you can see lots of grooves in the blankets that give the appearance that they are worn and unkempt, whether or not that is the case. The door locks have issues and sometimes you'll need to try your card several times to get the door to open. Initially I thought I was the only one but I noticed other patrons struggling with it upon entering and exiting my room. I found that sliding the card in and out quickly several times satisfies the reader and will allow you to gain access to your room. They are pet friendly which I strongly approve of, but if you're easily woken up or disturbed by noises you may want to ask for a room that's not adjoining one with a dog in it. Despite those small issues, my stay at the hotel was very comfortable, and I would have given this Hotel a 4/4.5 star review..had it not been for the HORRENDOUSLY HORRIBLE AND DISGUSTING BREAKFAST! The eggs were runny and soggy, and the sausage links were NOT cooked at all, just brazed on the outside it seemed! I like my steak medium rare, NOT my sausage links! They were pink throughout and gamey and I could not even bring myself to swallow a bite. The Milk (they have two options, skim or 2%) was obviously spoiled, which was HUGELY disappointing as I was going to eat from their cereal bar (cinnamon toast crunch, corn flakes, or raisin bran were their options), but I couldnt even do that. There was no fresh fruit, not even a banana, and so in the end I settled for a bagel and a sugary yogurt that they had in the fridge.. I left feeling hungry and irritated. If they make some much needed changes to their breakfast I will definitely be back as the location and their facilities overall were great and my review will be updated accordingly, but otherwise I cant recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a half-decent morning breakfast. Jeannette DeCorpo 5/5 3 hours ago on Google 🌟AMAZING and WONDERFUL accomodations for a 10 day stay! My 1st positive impression was with the Overnight Front Desk Clerk, Debi who graciously greeted me with a kind, friendly, professional manner. Also, Debi prepared a delicious hot breakfast with homemade biscuits and gravy with fried bacon and scrambled eggs!😋 Another morning Debi had a crockpot filled with roasted potatoes, peppers and onions! Debi's ultimate gift of hospitality was witnessed by me as there were 30 Construction Workers as guests that she prepared an early breakfast so they could be nourished by a hot, healthy meal before departing for a long hard-working day in the Kansas 90°heat...BLESS DEBI'S KINDNESS!😇 Maggie, the 2nd shift Front Desk Clerk demonstrated outstanding hospitality and Customer Service. She was kind, professional and eager to assist guests with a friendly smile! The Housekeeping Team of Tammy, Calista, Ricki, Sonja and Carli maintained an immaculate standard of cleanliness by their energetic and positive work ethic!🌟 An additional perk to this fabulous Quality Inn in Atchison, Kansas was the relaxing indoor pool, hot tub and sauna available to guests 7am-Midnight...so therapeutic and healing! This IS the PREMIER place to stay in...

We were blown away by the friendly and attentive staff: Jon, Laura, and Calista at the front desk were welcoming and willing to talk to us out of town weirdos. There's nothing better than being greeted by someone who you can tell doesn't dread coming to work. That says a lot about their manager/the hotel's owner. Keep up the great work!
As already mentioned, the room was clean. We had our dog for part of the stay so I sprung for the room with the fireplace and spa. We couldn't figure out how to get the fireplace to work, but it was still worth getting the larger room for our dog. We did not test the spa tub.
The continental breakfast was divine. Both days we woke up and left our room to the smell of biscuits and gravy. Make sure to try out the muffins as well!
This will be our first choice if we ever stay in the area again. 5/5...
