VIP gone wrong 😞 [long post ]This was our first time staying in the Centurion Tower and we were excited to be on a high floor (38), and corner room (end of the hallway). Upon walking in, we observed a mountain of opened Amazon boxes against the wall (video shows what was left after my husband carried out a few). My husband simply moved them to the hallway as I called the front desk. They came and moved them from the hall. I then noticed open bars of soap, particularly an open bar in the shower and used conditioner bottles. It was obvious that this room was used at some point and not cleaned. My husband confirmed that the fridge wasn't even turned on. Also in the bathroom, was one cloth and a towel, which shows it wasn't serviced. The icing on the cake was pulling back what was a made bed, only to find what looked like pubic hairs on the sheets. We immediately went to the VIP check in to inform them of the matter. The lady saw my video and was immediately appalled! She called someone to have them clean our room stat. That DIDN'T HAPPEN. After waiting quite some time, I called the front desk who said they had no knowledge of housekeeping coming to our room. He placed it in the system and housekeeping finally came up some time that night. We had to then leave our room until that was finished. We went back to the room and saw that the same soap and empty conditioner containers were still in the shower. I presume they thought it was ours. Long story, we were comp $50 which we used towards breakfast. Hopefully we'll have a better experience...
Read moreBeen a loyal customer since the 90s. Now that I have kids its not working out for me. Main issue - no pool, no buffet, no central food court for basic fast food, forum shops are dead. Everything is a long walk. But its a spacious place and you have the outlets nearby. IMO it has been on the decline for the past 10 years or so, once they sold off Bally's and Showboat when the new management took over. The Bally's Pool was where my kids would go swim, they even had hot tubs a steam room and a sauna! They appear to be revamping things because (hopefully) they are realizing that the happening side now is by the steel pier area. My family loved this place, its got the best beach in AC, but nothing else for the kids. We had no choice but to move on over to Hard Rock where they tier matched our playing cards and started giving us free comps with a quickness. But in all honesty, all we needed was a buffet and an indoor pool for our kids and we would have never left...They seemed to have completely forgotten about the families with kids! Things seem geared towards the younger generation who have no idea what to do with Aces, 11s or 16s vs a...
Read moreI stayed here with my fiancé in August. We chose the ocienview room. Two nights in this room wasn’t exactly worth 1k. It appeared to be clean, tv in the mirror of the bathroom, room service. However by the second day my skin was breaking out, I was in pain! I do have sensitive skin, maybe it was the detergent used for the sheets or towels. It took over a month to heal. My skin looked as so though someone took a grater to it. The healing process appeared to look like cornflakes. The hotel was busy, right on the boardwalk. It’s a shame, I don’t know what happened. It was so uncomfortable for me we can’t ever return. We didn’t go out doing any sweaty or activities that we would be close to anyone. Didn’t dive in the ocean. It was sad. I use to visit here all the time but never stayed. I visit a lot of hotels, this was the first experience like this. Food and baked...
