The reception desk and management need an overhaul. The last three visits from December to January have been horrible. Firstly, they need to replace /or ensure that EHarris NEVER run the front desk EVER again. She is rude, crude and socially unacceptable and apparently treats the QUA SPA clientele unprofessionally. Qua Spa should not be scheduling clients to have a massage at 6pm if they intended on rushing you out the door at 701pm. They should rethink their closing polices for I have spent a great deal of money over the years at Qua but these past months the experience has been short of relaxing and positive. Ms. Harris should refrain from barking loudly that " the people should hurry themselves out the door so she can close and get out of here. If they don't get out of the changing room she will surely charge them $50 each for the delay." THe manager on staff that day did not do anything to right the wrongs of her actions. I am sorry that she has to work for a living and sadly she will not get far with that attitude, no one ever does. One thing for sure is that I attend a week long convention every year in January and I will make sure in 2018 the people in this group know that they should go to Red Door SPA and bypass the QUA even thought the rooms have been beautifully renovated. Three strikes and your OUT! People are advised not to waste there money at this BEAUTIFUL SPA because they may encounter Ms. Harris who will ensure that your $300 per person experience is flushed down the toilet with her 2 year old tantrum and threats for charging more money for not moving fast enough out the door past 7pm. Congratulations Qua Spa, you have succeeded to reduce this return customer from ever returning and will make sure that her group in January stays away from such a beautifully TOXIC spa. Ms. Harris I hope you eventually grow up and when you can afford to frequent a spa, I hope that your experience is ruined by someone just as immature and vicious as yourself, --- no matter how pretty you are, your are ugly because of your classless lowlife attitude, go work somewhere where people don't have to deal with...
Read moreI truly wish I didn’t have to leave a 1-star review, but my experience at this spa left me no choice. The only reason I’m even giving 1 star is due to the incredibly kind woman who helped guide us and explain where everything was—she was a bright spot in an otherwise very disappointing visit.
My friend and I, both Black women, chose this spa expecting a peaceful, respectful environment—especially during a time when I was grieving the loss of my uncle and desperately needed stress relief. Unfortunately, what we encountered felt more like hostility than hospitality.
When we approached the bar area, the white bartender made no effort to greet us—no smile, no warmth, just a cold, visibly annoyed demeanor. The atmosphere instantly shifted, and it was impossible to ignore the tension.
I asked about a drink and was immediately asked for ID. While that in itself isn’t the issue, we were not informed at check-in that IDs would be required at the bar, and our belongings—including our wallets—were already locked away in a locker. What made this interaction stand out, however, was that we were the only ones visibly being asked for ID at the time, which felt alarmingly discriminatory.
We went back, retrieved our IDs, and returned—only to have them scrutinized in a way that felt excessive and targeted. The bartender stated that my friend’s ID was expired, and that was essentially the end of that. No willingness to work with us, no alternative solutions offered—just cold dismissal.
We were embarrassed, disrespected, and left feeling singled out in an environment where we were hoping to find comfort. It’s extremely disappointing to experience such treatment in a place that promotes itself as a sanctuary for relaxation and wellness. I truly hope the management addresses this behavior and ensures all guests are treated equally and with dignity. -Shanice Gordon Time:...
Read moreI will start with the positives. The person who checked us in upon our arrival was very warm and kind, she had the proper energy for a spa. Our actual massages were also excellent. My wife had a therapist named Janet and i had Jamaica. Both very kind and very good at there jobs. I was upsold on a deep tissue vs a "relaxation" massage and was she did work my back extra but i dont think it was worth the amount of money they up-charged me.
The negatives. The amenities are severely lacking. First off the gentleman who walked me around the locker room smelled of bo from feet away, not the best vibes for a spa. He showed me the very small facility and show me how to use my locker. My locker did not have a robe, the guy went to get me one, when he gave it to me it hand no way to tie the robe, so i had to find him. I had to ask for water and was not offered any other kinda of beverage. The room to wait for the massue felt like a drs office waiting room with chairs you know a whole bunch of peoples bare parts have been on them.
Post massage, i check out the "roman baths" and the hottest one was broken so i did not even bother. I went to use the spa but again had to track down the guy just to get a wash clothe. Post shower i wanted to shave, there was shaving cream on the bathroom sink but not a razor in sight, again, i had to find the guy. My wife said most of the baths in the female locker room were out of order as well so she skipped that experience as well.
Upon leaving my wife went over to the pool and asked(nobody told her) if we could use it because we were just at the spa, they said any body with a service at the spa could use the outdoor pool/hotub. We did that, that was sweet but it was a hot summer day.
I do not think i would visit this spa again unless there was some...
