I could only put one star if I could put no stars I would because this hotel was the worst on so many levels. First out room was dirty and paint was chipping from the walls. The TV was fuzzy. I did go down to the front desk and called down several times and nobody did anything about it. They were very rude. We were supposed to be in a non-smoking room, but you could smell cigarette smoke through the whole floor and marijuana smoke and my daughter has asthma really bad. We were here for a cheerleading competition and I will never be staying here again. The water in the second room that they put us in was yellow and cloudy just a disgrace for the price that we paid they should have given us money back or a comp room or something and they did none of that which I’m really shocked. Our toilet seat was dirty. The Dan is better than the Tropicana. We stayed at the Days Inn for another cheerleading competition and they accommodated us and their rooms aren’t that great but you know what they accommodated everything that we needed and had no issues like we have here. It was just the worst experience and I will not be staying here again. I will pick a different casino since they don’t wanna help me out and give me money back or a conference room that would’ve been something they could’ve done to make me happy, but they did none of that. They avoided The problems!! It’s a nice casino and eatery and all that but the rooms low class for the price that you’re charging especially West tower!! For all the money that you guys make here, you should be accommodating people and trying to make them stay instead of making them not return because I’m gonna tell you right now. I probably won’t be returning unless they reach out and accommodate that’s what they should do. This is customer service and I saw none of that!! do better, Tropicana! I just am very upset about the total that they charged me for the kind of room that they gave. It’s just a smack...
Read moreI visit Tropicana Casino quite often for its excellent gaming selections including a William Hill Sportsbook, table games and overall dining and entertainment extravaganza. However, I have to give them three stars because they have cut down drastically on the selection of slot machines and low limit tables since new management took over a couple of years ago. Table games are very often high limit, they might as well make the entire casino a high limit room. It makes it very difficult sometimes to take in the experience and enjoy the moment. I do not like how they replaced all hand shuffle blackjack and other table card games with machine shuffle. Games are predictably unbeatable. I know, I know, you are not supposed to win, but at least several years ago, they gave a player a chance to feel there was a chance to win. There are too many limitations since COVID-19. They lost a lot of the old staff who always knew how to treat players. Many restaurants still need to come back. Broadway Burger gets a special mention for their outstanding customer service, but sometimes their featured Bavarian pretzels are unavailable. Unavailability has to do with their vendors, but come on, since when are things unavailable at a Casino? Much room for improvement. Still Tropicana is one of the most popular Casinos on the Boardwalk for its endless entertainment and nightlife. The gaming needs help though. Too many tables unused or closed, at times you are limited to one craps table at a high limit. People support the Casino, but they need to open up full capacity again. Tropicana...
Read moreMy Beautiful husband, hotel room, housekeeper, and view of the ocean were the only great thing about the Tropicana and The Casa Tequila was so good the food was worth the trip in itself. BUT my biggest and upsetting issue was... NO Handicap Access at any entrance. Fortunately I do not need assistance getting in/out but almost 1/2 the patrons on the casino floor were in wheelchairs or were elderly. No room service ! Yet signs all over for it. Couldn't use any of the pools that were advertised. We were told the night clubs were closed during the week . Our last night going back to get another room key {ugh} we heard bumping music; 3 night clubs were lit up and going strong. We walked passed these ghost towns the first night no advertisement that they were open at all. That was disappointing because we must definitely would have enjoyed some dancing. Our room keys did not work! Security came 1 time to let us in. Then after 11pm with heels on. I had to walk to another building from the 16th floor ( elevators of course) to the main casino then into the very bottom floor lobby to have me keys printed. Where it smelled like dumpsters and garbage anytime someone opened a door? My husbands rewards card did not work had to have it replaced several times and he didn't good money. I only put $30 in the slots my card to bed to be replaced? You have NO Assistance from the employees on the floor. Some of the security guards that would make eye contact could help us occasionally but they were extremely kind. All in all for me to return I would only utilize the rooms...
