DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
My wife and I went to the store mid-day to decide between 2 beds we had already researched online. The salesman insisted on taking through his entire prepared sales pitch and blew off all of our questions. Since we have a sleigh bed, my wife was concerned about fit and wanted to measure the floor model. The salesman and his manager both basically yelled at her insisting it would fit. I WISH we had just walked away from the company at this point. Unfortunately we didnt. We decided to go ahead with the purchase, but by this time a few additional couples had entered the store. Our salesman ran to help an older couple and bounced back to us a few times to ask if we were ready yet. Well this is a $10k purchase, we were taking our time to be sure it was what we wanted. We did decide to buy, so while the salesman had the second couple trying out the different floor models, he came to ring up our sale. But first he INSISTED that we go decide on sheets and mattress covers because otherwise our warranty would be totally voided (which I should have known could not be true, and it is actually not) He rushed through and actually ran our credit for the wrong amount, got very flustered and asked if we could just pay the difference because changing the credit line amount would take longer. I said while he sorted it out I was going to run to the restroom. Apparently, while I was in there (not a long time btw), he told my wife "I just cant, I'm tapping out!" and his manager took over. Again I REALLY wish we would have just walked out. His manager basically made excuses for the salesman the rest of the time and was more interested in talking about himself than the bed. He finally finished the sale and scheduling the delivery but could not find the sheets and mattress cover we were sold. Since we were in the middle of a move, we wanted the new bed delivered to the new house, but since the sheets would be delivered in a few days, we asked if they could come to our current house. The manager said it would not be an issue, but it turned into one. The delivery ended up being rescheduled because ALL sleep number house visits are done at THIER convenience, no matter what your schedule is like. My wife works nights and ended up having to stay up after a 12 hour shift to wait on the delivery. Once the delivery people arrived they were rude, rushed and short. They gave NO instructions, did not put the bed where my wife asked for it to be put, snatched her phone out of her hands to do something that they would not show her, insisted my dog be put farther away (she was in the attached master bath with the door closed) because the delivery guy was afraid of her, and then left without a word. I cannot say enough how much I regret this purchase! So now, my side of the bed randomly deflates itself, even when no one is on the stupid thing. It feels NOTHING like the bed we tried in the store, we both wake up sweaty every morning despite layers of "cooling technology", and we have had to totally unplug, reset, and call the service line DAILY. We have been trying to resolve the issue, but have been bounced around to 500 people, none of whom have helped us. They say they will come back to the house to look at the bed, but have rescheduled those visits 3 times because it was not convenient for THEM (no concern for the CUSTOMER'S satisfaction or convenience). Additionally, because EVERYONE should hear this, the call center even admitted that they put extra padding in the flood models and the number that feels comfortable to you in the store will not match your home number. This is FALSE ADVERTISING and I am pretty sure illegal, but at the very least is totally unethical. The worst part? While you do have 100 days for a free trial, they ONLY take back the mattress. You are still stuck with the $4000 base and $500 sheets that you will never use and cannot do anything with once you realize that sleep number is the biggest sham in the history of horrible companies. PLEASE go literally anywhere else for a bed!...
Read moreI bought a mattress here and scheduled delivery for the day I moved into my new apartment. My very first questions when I walked in the door were about making sure the mattress could be delivered ok and on time, as I needed something to sleep on when I moved in.
Move-in day was today, but I won’t be getting my delivery for another 6-7 days.
I found out yesterday that the store and/or the delivery department had messed up something in their computer system (which the software didn’t catch). So, they had to start my order from scratch - yesterday. And SleepNumber could offer no way to expedite things: no way for the factory to give me higher priority; no way to ship the finished product faster than by their normal freight; no way to bypass the installers’ schedule and just drop it off and let me assemble it myself.
They at least said they’d waive the installation/shipping fee. But then the next day I talked to a customer support manager, who offered again to waive the fee. I said they already had, and he said they in fact had not.
So, while I dig the beds, I’m distinctly unhappy with the crummy customer service system and advise that, especially if you’re trying to do anything that isn’t completely standard, to babysit the process more...
Read moreWe were greeted quite cheerfully upon arriving at the store. The manager, Steve, stepped up and welcomed us. After inquiring about our needs, preferences, and wishes, he explained the potential options and showed and demonstrated the availabilities and their benefits. We NEVER felt rushed or pressured to make a purchase. Steve was patient and answered all of our questions thoroughly and demonstrated the options and benefits of each one - from bases, mattresses, pillows, and bedding to sales, discounts, and delivery schedules. We had braced ourselves for pressured sales and rushed pitches prior to our visit, but never encountered any negative interactions during our time in the store. We cannot emphasize enough how pleasant our experience was and how very much we appreciate being graced with Steve being our sales person. He was pleasant, cheerful, extremely knowledgeable and was patient and very personable during our time shopping. We would definitely highly recommend Steve for anyone trying to make these important decisions and financial...
