Original review below, new update here (5/27/2025) While the in-store experience was nice, the quality of our rings leaves something to be desired.
First off, they hound you for a positive review online, BEFORE you have your jewelry in hand. -1.
Second, they got my fiancé’s ring wrong TWICE. First ring we were presented with was similar but not his ring. It was the wrong metal and the wrong size, and while it was a similar band design it was not at all what he chose initially. I’m absolutely sure they sent the wrong ring rather than inputting incorrect details for our order since my ring was delivered as ordered. -1.
Thirdly, once the new ring was “ready” (after an additional three weeks to deliver), they STILL had not got the details right. The blackened lacquer in the engraved lines was missing but at least the metal, the finish, and the size were correct. The blackening was able to be done on premises so that was at least a short wait to be corrected. -1.
Now that we are engaged and I have my ring on my hand regularly, I am noticing details that escaped me before. The quality of the diamond is fine. However, the prongs have little bits of foil-like material left over from the manufacturing process that should have been removed in QC. The diamond is not set within the prongs in a way that lines up with the faceting, it’s set in there randomly and rotated a few degrees off. A minor distinction but when you’re paying top dollar for jewelry that is heirloom quality, I expect these to be details that are paid attention to. The prongs also catch on any delicate fabric, which is a big oversight. It’s obvious to me that whoever made my ring did not use any sort of magnifying glass while working on the piece, as I can see many places where work is needed (buffing/burnishing) with a simple jeweler’s loupe. -2.
If you’re keeping track, that would be zero stars if I could leave that review. Instead, I’m keeping it at two stars only for the quality of service we were shown. To their credit, they did come through when addressing the issues with my fiancé’s ring and made it right. Now that more than a year has passed since purchase I feel like I’d be better off with a local and REPUTABLE jeweler to fix the issues with my own ring, as I don’t trust Diamonds Direct to fix it to my standards.
If you are considering spending a significant amount on your engagement set, I’d recommend you DO NOT come to Diamonds Direct. If you like the feeling of being in a high-pressure sales environment akin to an Apple Store, this is the place for you.

Read moreAs we began our search for an engagement ring mid quarantine, there were very few places I could find that had open showrooms. I figured there was no way I could buy an engagement ring online without holding it in my hand first.
We happened to choose DD to go and start our search. My now fiance and I went in not having any idea what we were looking for. We were passed to Jennifer and we could not have asked for a better person to help us find what we were looking for. As we went through looking for rings we found a Simon G ring that we loved, but it was diamond and we were looking for sapphire. Jennifer colored the diamond blue so we could get an idea of what it was going to look like and it was fantastic. She continued to show us many different sapphires to see what cut and grade we wanted. I learned so much throughout the process.
After picking a stone, we were told it was going to be 4 - 6 weeks turn around time on the ring due to quarantine. We said we would think about it and left. Fast forward a week or 2, I decided that was the ring I wanted for my fiance and proceeded to buy it. My fiance surprised me with a birthday trip to Las Vegas, and I got the idea to surprise her back by proposing to her there. I asked Jennifer if there was any way I could get the ring before the trip and she said she would see what they can do.
THEY TURNED THE RING AROUND IN 4 DAYS. I was able to make the surprise. DD and Jennifer did such a great job and it is a gorgeous ring.
I cannot thank or recommend Jennifer enough for how attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful she was throughout the whole process. She really made the experience for me and this will be where I go for jewelry for the...
Read moreNoel, Anat, and Francis are all amazing. Our first experience here was buying my engagement ring. Anat helped us find exactly what I was looking for and every time we stop by for a cleaning or just to look, she always recognizes us makes us feel like family. Our next experience was with Francis (7 years later). We went in to find a new setting and diamond. She was extremely knowledgeable and I felt like she could read my mind when it came to making selections. Unfortunately, we weren’t quite ready to pull the trigger on a new ring, but she made sure to follow up with us and let us know they had all the items available if we wanted to come back in. We live in Dallas and haven’t visited that location but we literally drive to their Austin location due to their immaculate service. Today we decided it was time to make the move and get a new setting, diamond and wedding bands. Noel was our consultant/sales rep today. He was super patient with us and brought out several options so we could see them side by side. He made us feel right at home and provided exceptional customer service. We found the perfect new set up and we couldn’t be happier not only with the selection, but once again, with the incredible service and attention to detail that Noel provided to us. We have found our forever...
