Placed DND sign on my door after checking in on Day #1. Had a miserable Night #1 as the AC did not properly cool the room nor stay on. On Day #2, I received via my APP a current stay review option, I noted in the APP that the room was not cooling properly, communicated mid-day. When I returned to my room at 7pm on Day #2, I walked in to find a giant spill/wet spot of brown liquid near my bed/bathroom. At first, I thought it was maybe a water leak, so I checked around, and determined it was not a leak from plumbing. Likewise, I noticed some discarded wire harness pieces and a drill bit near the AC not far from the stain, as well as dirty bootprints on my bathroom tile. After getting over an initial shock of paranoia, I called the front desk, and asked if someone had been in my room (not once during the day was I contacted stating that they would be sending in a technician to service the AC). She was unable to provide an answer at that time, but another employee, named Peter, called me back 30 minutes later. He stated that he called around and found that their technician entered the room, but he had no further information to what was actually done in the room. He stated that he would open a case and leave it for management to follow-up with me on Day#3 morning. The next morning (Day #3) I waited for a response yet did not get one. Prior to checking out, I did a quick workout in the gym, and noticed that all of the staff was huddled in the hallway (breakroom) discussing customers with use of foul language; I am not sure they thought someone was in the workout room. When I walked out past them, they all seemed surprised. When I left the premise, a manager was not present to speak to. I have yet to receive a call or follow-up regarding this disturbing experience. I am frequent Marriott guest with exclusive status---this is something that can definitely make one look to...

Read moreAmanda ruined my experience at Springhill Suites and my weekend in Austin.
This weekend was supposed to be a fun time at a festival but thanks to Amanda and her piss poor attitude as a "manager" ruined everything. We took off work, traveled 3hrs only to be kicked out of our hotel rooms, credit cards constantly charged SEVERAL times thus wiping out our bank accounts of money that was supposed to be spent enjoying the city of Austin with NO proper explanation (which is all the card holders wanted), trashy attitudes and no resolve.
Amanda the "manager" basically had the trashy attitude& mentality of " this wasn't my fault so I don't have to do anything to fix it" Amanda also felt that because she'd already spoken to 1 card holder about the charges that she didn't need to explain it to the other person that DID NOT hear sed explanation stating that "I already spoke with him about this so I'm not going to spend all day on this again!" How disrespectful is that to tell PAYING GUESTS that you won't explain to them why the company that you work for has taken all of their money for the week because you "don't want to spend all day on it" & on top of that you (Amanda) kick them out because you ( Amanda) didn't like the negative reaction you got.
WE WERE LEFT WITH NO WHERE TO STAY BECAUSE OF HER!!!!!
What is the point of being a manager at a hotel where HOSPITALITY & CUSTOMER SERVICE IS YOUR JOB and you're there with a sh*y attitude????
Weekend was ruined, complete bad taste!
Other than this breakfast was great, rooms were very clean and the staff working the breakfast and coffee area always had smiles, were personable& helpful. Amanda the "manager" on the other hand should take note from them & get some more training since she don't...
