I wasn't going to write this, but the more I look at my hair the more I feel inclined to.. I called, got a haircut scheduled and came in and was assigned to Emily.. right off the bat she seemed like she was in a rush but was very very kind and we discussed what I wanted for my hair.. I gave an outline of what I wanted and then I showed her a PICTURE of what I wanted and said "I want it to look like this".. I asked her if she got what I meant, she said yes, and then the first thing she proceeded to do after that was take off 2 inches from a spot that, if she had looked at the picture, wasn't meant to be taken off of, and there was no point in saying anything once the hair is already gone.. fast forward to the end of the haircut: it looked horrible.. it was NOTHING like I had wanted it, described it, or had showed her in the picture.. I'm not talking the "it's just a little shorter than I wanted" kind of haircut, no, it was not even close to wanted I asked for; she did things I didn't ask her to do, she DIDNT do things she said she was going to.. all and all it was a wreck.. when I tried to fix it and ask her to do something with certain parts she would act very impatient and was rushing the end like she did the whole haircut.. I was so upset and didn't understand how something made so clear could go so wrong.. I paid my $25 and left.. I kept looking at it when I got back to work and I couldn't shake it, so I called back and asked them if she could at least ATTEMPT to fix the number she did on my hair.. well she was busy but the owner himself offered to look at it.. when I got there, the owner, despite his busy schedule, took me just minutes after I got there.. he was so very kind and I showed him what it was supposed to look like and he tried to salvage what he could from what it was before, and did a good job.. he was so very sweet and didn't charge anything extra for helping me.. if I could rate this based on my experience with him it would easily be 5 stars. the hair still doesn't look good, doesn't fit my face shape, and is WAY to short and thinned out, but at least when it grows in it'll grow in better than what it would have. Emily is a wonderful lady and I'm sure she is a good hair dresser, I'm sure she has done great jobs on a lot of people.. but not on me. Emily butchered my hair and I can't say I know why; I did my part, I even showed a picture, but something went wrong and I have to wait months before it grows in to have it look good. I'm not being mean and I'm definitely not exaggerating, I'm just being honest.. if I go back it will be to...
Read moreUpdate: I waited a week before I posted this review to give the salon a chance to correct their mistake and reach out; however, they didn't until they saw this post. I showed them pictures of what I walked out of their salon with and what it looks like now after getting it redone and their response was, "you must not have communicated correctly with your stylist". Wrong, I communicated exactly the same way with both stylists; however, it's clear that Randy's stylist is not as competent.
They then said that they would have been happy to work with me but I since I already got my hair done elsewhere what could they do? I got my hair redone 2 weeks after reaching out to them, they had plenty of time to fix their mistakes. But again, customer service is not their strong suit. Color service isn't either.
Original Post: I relocated here from Chicago and this is the first salon I tried. Needless to say I will not be back and I am pretty upset with my hair. I went in asking for a more blended balayage and ended up looking like I'm letting my highlights grow out. Not to mention that each blonde highlight added has a light brown spot towards the top. I did point this out while I was there and the stylist said she could fix it with a shadow root. I allowed her to try this but it did literally nothing. I was so upset I literally left the salon with wet hair and cried on the way home. The only thing I liked was my trim - she did do a good job there.
I reached out to the salon and sent them pictures over a week ago and have yet to receive any kind of response. Poor customer service and color service overall.
I now have to spend more money for color correction at a different salon. Save yourself some money and go...

Right from the start, their exceptional service stood out—I didn’t have to wait long for an appointment, which was a pleasant surprise compared to many other salons.
Randi, the talented hairdresser, created a welcoming and friendly environment that put me at ease immediately. The salon itself is adorable, conveniently located in Biloxi with hassle-free parking. The atmosphere feels inviting, almost like visiting a friend’s cozy space rather than a typical salon.
Randi’s skill level is truly impressive. After my attempt at cutting my own bangs turned into a mini disaster (thanks to overconfidence from a few YouTube videos), she worked her magic to fix them seamlessly. I also asked her to blend my incoming grey/white hairs into my highlights, and she nailed it perfectly.
Since my appointment, the compliments on my haircut and color have been nonstop. It’s a new experience for me to have others genuinely impressed with my hair, and it’s all thanks to Randi’s expertise and the salon’s friendly vibe.
If you’re looking for a salon with outstanding service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend Randy Barras & Friends. You’ll leave feeling confident...
