My recent stay at The Carriage House Inn presented a dichotomy of experiences, leaving me torn between initial impressions of cleanliness and comfort, and subsequent concerns about my health and well-being. While the aesthetics and amenities initially appeared promising, a troubling turn of events following my departure has cast a shadow over my overall perception of the establishment.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a charming facade and inviting ambiance that hinted at a promising stay. The lobby exuded a sense of quaint elegance, and the check-in process was efficient and cordial. Stepping into my room, I was pleased to find a space that appeared meticulously cleaned, with crisp linens and a refreshing chill courtesy of the commendably effective air conditioning.

Throughout my brief sojourn, I found little cause for complaint. The housekeeping staff appeared diligent in their duties, maintaining the tidiness and orderliness of the premises. The amenities provided a satisfactory level of comfort, and the overall atmosphere fostered a sense of relaxation and tranquility.

However, it was only in the aftermath of my departure that the true extent of my misgivings became apparent. A day later, I was startled to discover a rash spreading across various areas of my body, including my legs, stomach, hands, and chest. As the discomfort intensified, I couldn't help but wonder about the possible connection to my recent stay at The Carriage House Inn.

While I hesitate to jump to conclusions, the timing of the rash's onset raises troubling questions about the cleanliness and hygiene standards maintained by the establishment. Could it be the result of unsanitary bedding or inadequate sanitation practices? Or perhaps an allergic reaction triggered by exposure to allergens or contaminants lurking within the premises?

Regardless of the precise cause, the implications are undeniable. What initially seemed like a promising retreat has left me grappling with discomfort and uncertainty, overshadowing any positive memories of my stay. Moreover, the lack of a proactive response from the hotel staff only compounds my concerns, leaving me disillusioned with their commitment to guest satisfaction and well-being.

In retrospect, my experience at The Carriage House Inn serves as a warning to other guests about the importance of vigilance when it comes to selecting accommodations. While outward appearances may be deceiving, it's essential to prioritize establishments that prioritize not only cleanliness and comfort but also the health and safety of their guests. It seems like a reoccurring problem for other guest as well.

Furthermore, I would like for other guests to be considerate of...

I brought my mom here for her 79th birthday after reading many positive reviews online. Upon my arrival I instantly felt at ease that the positive reviews were accurate in their depiction of this wonderful hotel. It is truly a gem in the middle of Brandon's entertainment district. The front desk staff were/are extremely polite and helpful, especially to newbies to Branson. The facility is well kept, clean, with no apparent repairs needed. The room was clean and looked updated with nice white linen, ample towels, and up to date amenities. The pool is indoors, heated, clean and provides ample space for large families. They do offer a breakfast from 7 to 9 am with multiple offerings to satisfy multiple tastes. It is close, within walking distance, to many restaurants, entertainment venues and other shops for personal items. You will not find a better place for the price. It has all one needs for a price that won't break the bank. It will allow you to spend more on entertainment will enjoying a clean comfortable room with terrific service. Now a couple things I feel could use improvement. The rooms have liquid soap dispensers for sink and tub/shower. While I know they are going for an updated feel, I believe these dispensers are gross. I would prefer a little arrangement of soaps and conditioners for the bathroom and sink, I feel that is more sanitary that the liquid soap dispensers. I also think having an omelet bar or something where fresh eggs are cooked to order, vs having an egg patty, would elevate breakfast. I just found breakfast was missing something to truly make the experience special. And lastly, having towels in the pool area for guests to use would be more convenient. With this said, these are minor and in no way should affect your decision to come and enjoy all that this hotel has to offer. I would also like to see a loyalty program for repeat customers. I plan on coming back August 2024 for 5 days and would like some benefit to being a repeat customer. BTW, I expressed my concerns about the liquid soap dispensers and was provided tiny soaps that I am used to and extra towels for the pool without hesitation, so the customer service is way above board, and feel you could not find any better service elsewhere. Give the Carriage House Inn a try, I'm sure you will not leave...

The only thing special is the hospitality

What I didn't like

1)The bed gave me a backache. 2)The whole facility was outdated and not in a good antique sort of way. 3) The breakfast is good if you want to load up on carbs via sugar and breads but if you care at all about your health then there is absolutely nothing to eat. 4) While every other hotel includes show tickets in the price, carriage House does not. For $3 more I couldn't stayed in a more modern hotel across the street and got 2 free show tickets each night. 5) If you're on the North having side of the building you have to walk all the way around the hotel to get to the pool if you have a baby stroller or wheelchair. It's a long walk up and down step hills on the back and a narrow walkway 1' from the road if you go around the front. This proved to be a major problem because we have 3 young kids. I'd suggest requesting a pool side 1st floor room if this is a consideration of yours. 6) Parking was scarce and the one spot we had in front of our room was half taken up because someone in a minivan decided to park crooked. There were literally no other spots to park. 7) NO GYM 8) No option to stream to the TV. Definitely bring your own Chromecast.

WHAT I LIKED

  1. The staff was amazing. They're friendly, courteous, and helpful.
  2. The indoor pool may not be fancy but it's still an indoor pool which is nice, especially if you're interested in staying during the colder months. Unfortunately it's a separate building so you'll still be walking back to your room in the cold.
  3. The WiFi was strong and fast
  4. Pro-cable TV, Con-basic cable
  5. Nice lounging area in the main building and 24hr coffee.
  6. Price was okay, $86, for peak season but still too much imo.
  7. Comfy pillows

SUGGESTIONS FOR YOUR STAY

  1. Bring your own Chromecast or other streaming device.
  2. Request 1st floor pool side room
  3. Ask the front desk for the $5.99 breakfast coupon to the diner they partner with unless you want donuts and biscuits and gravy.
  4. Don't have high...

I couldn't give it five stars because it kept messing up on how many towels they were giving us each day. Even though I don't toss and turn very much, the bottom sheets became undone each morning. Otherwise it is a bug-free, pleasant, quiet place to be. They have soap dispensers for hand soap as well as lotions at the bathroom sink. And in the shower for body wash and shampoo. I didn't use them because I bring my own and I have allergies. The beds were comfortable enough and we were so tired that it didn't matter. There was a recliner in one corner with a lamp nearby as well as a table with a rolly chair near the door. It didn't smell like mildew or cigarette smoke or animal. It was a good, safe place to spend our week while we were at Branson and it's right in the middle of everything so it was a. Near everything. Drive to the events that we wanted to go to. The breakfast included scrambled eggs and sausage links as well as biscuits and gravy. And it included items for the toaster such as whole wheat toast, waffles and English muffins. They had fresh fruit each day such as tangerines apples and bananas. They had a variety of coffee, tea and orange juice and other fruit juice. Although I didn't have any cereal they had about four different kinds with a container that kept the milk pleasantly cold. The woman doing kitchen duty was extremely efficient and constantly wiping things down and refreshing the food each and every day we were there. She seemed to be very conscientious and excellent at her job.
