CLAY COOPER I HOPE YOU READ THIS!!! The show was amazing very upbeat and fun HOWEVER the staff was so horrible I will never go back. From being to end every single staff member we came across was awful. My mom went to pick up our tickets the day before the show as my mom approached the box office window to pick up the tickets the staff member answered the phone. She patiently waiting but then a man walked up behind the lady on the phone, looked at my mom and aggressively pointed for my mom to go down to the other side of the box office. He was extremely rude, never spoke a word just pointed. My mom told him that she thought we had great seats but asked if he would take a look to see if there we're better seats available. He walked away from the window as if he didn't even hear her. He retrieved the tickets and returned to the window, she asked him a second time, he looked and said they were great seats and he wouldn't trade them in. He did not have a friendly demeanor. He was just flat out rude. The next day we go to the show and even though we got there half an hour early the parking lot was already starting to fill. We asked an employee if there we anymore handicap parking and he said in the most hateful tone that there are no more handicapped parking spots but a man on a golf cart will pick us up and drive us back. Sure enough the man on the golf cart who was supposed to pick us up looked at us dead in the eyes and drove past. I didn't see him drive a single person up or down that hill. We go to our seats and a lady once again being rude was trying to rush us to take a picture then go to our seats. Once we got all settled in and the show started we were having so much fun. We get up during intermission to use the bathroom and get some snacks. A lady SHOVED a sign in our face that said "bathroom's this way" or something of that sort. I didn't get to even read it because of how shocked at the dirty look that she kept giving us as she pointed to the door and rushed us away. She didn't even speak to us just aggressively pointed. We get to the bathroom and my mom goes into a stall and a lady grabbed my arm and started yelling at me to get back in line. She was literally directing traffic in the bathroom yelling in the most hateful tone I think I've ever heard "GO TO STALL 2!" "MOVE!" "GO TO THE OTHER STALL" why is there someone directing traffic in the bathroom. SERIOUSLY! It's a bunch of grown women I'm sure we all know how to stand in line and go to an open stall. After the rude bathroom scenario we go to get our snacks at the concession stand and once again the same rude guy that was at the box office is there speaking in the most hateful tone "I can take the next guest" We get back to our seats and finish watching the show. At the end of the show Clay said he's got about 95 staff and wanted us to clap for all of them and thank them for their hard work. Out of 95 people not one of them I came across was nice. Clay I'm sorry you're mean staff ruined the show experience. We were so appuled at the behavior of your staff yet you had such an outgoing and friendly demeanor that we literally sat in the parking lot and debated on going back in and telling you about our experience face to face, so that you could be aware of this. You seem like such a good man I hope this gets brought to...
Read moreClay Cooper review- (Haygoods review below) 1st time seeing Clay Cooper, very impressed! I have seen most of the shows in Branson over the years as we live close. This show would rank near or at the top of the list. I wish we had gone sooner. They are overflowing with talent! You couldn't ask for better musicians and singers. Cooper has such a talent for connecting with the audience and seems to enjoy interacting with them. He even stays and visits with folks after the show until the last one leaves! He is so genuine, we really enjoyed him, his family and the cast. Clay Cooper is also blessed to be surrounded by amazingly talented support. The show has a little something for most everyone. Classic country, new country, 50's/ 60's, 80's, comedy, dancing, a couple gospel songs and recognition of the USA and veterans. This is a good wholesome family appropriate show that is highly entertaining. I'm so glad we went. The place was clean and the staff was so friendly. I highly recommend and will certainly return.
Haygoods review- We saw the Haygoods at the Clay Cooper Theatre. The Haygoods are highly talented and have a very polished show. The lights, the music and the dancing are precision perfect. This is not the typical Branson show, it's more modern with a unique twist of country and a little classic rock. They have pyrotechnics, laser lights and a few jokes and stunts. I was nice to see their pride of growing up in the Ozark Mountains and how they show respect to their upbringing. Very entertaining and lots of excitement!! Clean theater, clean bathrooms and friendly staff. If you're looking for something different, I recommend...
Read moreMy wife and I saw the Haygoods. Let me start by saying I'm a Rocker by nature and not into country music. Being the absolutely amazing husband I am I took my wife here because she wanted to see this show. For starters I was surprised how popular it is. On Friday the Sunday show was already sold out (1200 or so seats) and Saturday was almost sold out. The show was really good. Much more modern than I thought it would be. A combination of classic and modern country and rock. Some new twists on old songs. Lazer lights and even a few comedic moments. The family themselves come off very likeable and personable on stage. Rarely do I give 5 star reviews of anything unless it truly impresses me. This family earned it.
Additionally after my initial review. Sunday night we went to see Clay Coopers show. As previously stated I'm not a country guy. Also as previously stated I'm amazing. So after fierce negotiations and a promise of not 1 but 2 bags of candied pecans (Don't judge me) we went. CC as I shall forthwith refer to him puts on a really good show. He is way funnier and faster with his wit than I think people who haven't seen him realize. It was a very good show, and even more so if you enjoy country. This is a great show that's extremely family friendly and even a bit inspirational. Still 5 stars and both shows are worth watching. CC especially so if you grew up with old school country music. Why I remember my dad would pull out the 8 track suitcase and...
