Mr. Mikes Pizza — Restaurant in Burlington

Rewriting my review because one of the owners contacted me and let me know that this Sam worker made up her name and was not representing Mr.Mikes the way they like. They also verified the time I called so they knew when "Sam" was working and could find out who it was. They comped me a pizza which was generous. I think they have delicous pizza, and I feel reassured to come back and feel comfortable to eat here again. I then had to prove I had ordered from them to the girl named Sam who was rolling her eyes and shaking her head. I'm standing in the rain going back and forth between my car and their business trying to get my phone so I can show I called her, talked to her, and I did indeed place my order; so said my phone. She was so unpleasent, and only willing to offer me a discount after I asked her name (Sam) after a few trips to the window. My boyfriend and I ordered a large buffalo chicken pizza, an order of fries well done as well as an order of onion rings for pickup around 1230 and we were quoted 30 minutes. We arrived at 1 to a mass of drunk people and a very unorganized pickup/ordering system. The food handling was NOT okay... multiple people handing ready to eat food without gloves, especially the cashier who touches dirty money! Disgusting! After getting our food we arrived back at our hotel five minutes down the street and the food was barely hot. The fries and onion rings were so soggy even when asking for them well done! We were hoping the pizza would redeem the unappetizing fries and onion rings but that was not the case! The chicken was so thinly sliced at first glance you couldn’t even tell there was chicken on the pizza. The cheese looked dried out and crusty like it had been sitting out for hours. It did not taste any better either. I thought I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza not a piece of cardboard with buffalo sauce and ranch... extremely disappointed with the food and the customer service. Almost everything was overcooked. The pizza was burnt, dry and tasteless, the wings were blackened and the stromboli was tough. The chicken inside the stromboli was weird and rubbery and we ended up just giving up and throwing it, and the pizza, out.

The sauce on the wings was alright, but the dry state of chicken and the blackened crust on the outside made my jaw hurt. The mozzarella sticks were alright, but they were only as good as I've been able to make from store-bought, frozen sticks fried at home. The marinara sauce was also clearly just taken out of a jar. Very acidic, kind of sour and just didn't add anything.

I really don't mind paying more for actual pizza. I've learned my lesson about trying a place just because it was cheaper. I've had better from Papa John's and Dominos and I'm serious about that. None of...
