First of all, I will preface this review by saying the friendliness of the staff gained them 2 stars, because if I were to rate this hotel on the amenities alone, it would be 1 star at best. I booked this room based on a sponsored tripadvisor ad, it seemed highly rated so I thought it was a good deal. When we arrived, the young man at the front desk was very friendly and personable. He confirmed the details of our stay and gave me the keys to our room. The moment we opened the door to our room, we saw dirt and hair on the floor. We assumed that it was blown in from under the door (there was a gap) so we looked past it. All was good until I tried to sleep. The mattress literally felt like someone had taken a thin sheet of cardboard, put it on top of some springs, then threw linens on top. It was extremely uncomfortable. Once I did finally get to sleep, I was awakened suddenly by my wife jumping up and throwing her pillow across the room because there was a bug on it. Needless to say we weren't going to stay another night. Unfortunately, we had pre-paid a non-refundable room. I placed a call to AMEX travel and they called the hotel and got them to honor a refund. No pool, no hot breakfast, no new towels for 3 nights. ||||Housekeeping knocked at 9am the 1st day and never came back. ||||In the walk from the tub to the bed, the bottoms of our feet were filthy. ||||90 degree weather... pool closed the entire time. ||||We were in a spa tub room. Tub is huge but we didn't trust turning the jets on. All the fixtures are wonky... missing pieces, plating flaking off or damaged so they look dirty. Edges of tub stained and dirty. ||||Check in was fine. Check out is simple, you just drop cards in the box in lobby. ||||AC works well, but expect room to be HOT on arrival. ||||Mini fridge works well. Top shelf made our bottled waters slushy (a perk for us lol.)||||Desk chair was comfy and room was a decent size. ||||Outlets are in stupid places, not easily accessible to charge phone from bed. Bring a 10 ft charging cord! ||||Toilet & sink both leak. ||||They did include a complimentary body wash, lotion and soap... no shampoo or conditioner. ||||Stains on upholstered chair, stains on middle blanket on bed. ||||Bed was comfortable, bit squeaky. ||||Idk. In the same orice range, you can find a slightly nicer room right next door at Red Roof or Spark. ||||Location is good, tons of restaurants around and Doordash arrives very fast...
Read moreI was disgusted by the rudeness and attitude of some of the people working here. My in laws have been staying at this location for years with their traveling business. Lately my husband and I have been traveling with the business as well and have stayed at this location 2 times. The first time they “claimed” the only room available was a two bed for my husband and I. Which would have been okay, but the tv didn’t work. They then tried to fix it and it took a few hours. But we stayed in the room. You could tell they weren’t exactly happy to be having to take time out of their day to fix our tv. Then the next visit we requested one bedroom and got two. So naturally went to the front desk and let them know we had asked for one bed. Well after some eye rolling we got a one bed. My in laws are there this weekend and a new employee had an attitude with her(keep in mind they have spent thousands at this location and were very close to the owners) finally got in touch with an owner and was told that there was multiple complaints on my husband and I and proceeded to claim to have a camera which “showed” the lady never got an attitude but didn’t offer to show it to my in laws. My mother in law is packing to leave right now. They won’t recieve another penny...
