The bed was moderately comfortable and that sums up the good.||Everything seemed to be broken, dirty, missing, or out of stock everywhere you went. ||ROOM- |Our hotel room was superficially cleaned. There was trash in bedside drawer, Entertainment center was sticky, and room was missing trash bag liners. The bathroom door does not close and is terribly misaligned with its frame- so you won’t have privacy. The shower knob is stripped, so when you try to turn it on it falls to the right giving you an ice cold surprise, or falls to left turning it to max heat which is a huge safety risk and you should not let children (or anyone for that matter) use it. The bathroom sink dis bit drain and was gross. Every single towel we had had huge yellow stains on them, even the pool towels. The bed was comfortable and clean so we were able to sleep. ||CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST-|They were out of literally everything. This was at 8am and breakfast didn’t close till 9. There is 2 trays of hot breakfast and was all empty besides 1 biscuit and 2 sausages. There was 1 apple and no other fruit. A couple yogurts left. There were muffins but when you tried to pick them up they fell apart like wet batter from what I suspect as extremely poor freezing techniques. There was literally nothing to eat for my family besides dry cereal or yogurt. There were two more families that arrived as we did and were visibly upset. So I went to look for front desk lady. There was no one there. There was a girl in black scrubs playing on her phone sitting in the guest lobby that I asked if she was working front desk to which she replied yes. I told her breakfast situation and she replied “We are out of a bunch of stuff and the microwave broke”. Considering there are microwaves in every hotel room I decided to respond “well I guess we can work something out for decreasing the cost of my room since the breakfast is not available “ to which she said “I will see what I can do”. Magically she began bringing out eggs and sausage. Funny how she suddenly was able to do it.||POOL -|We went the evening we arrived. There was no one there, likely scaring the one interested off due to extreme poor conditions. There were abandoned pool towels laying everywhere, the pool had dozens of bugs and leaves in it, the trash can was overflowing , and there were three sun bathing chairs all of which were badly broken. We were going to clean the pool ourselves with the long net, but it was torn so the pool is literally not getting a good clean period. There was only one table with a couple chairs for entire area. The pool must have a leak because there is a hose they have running set in it continuously. I do not think they have any kind of system of maintenance or cleanliness because when we went back the next day, the abandoned towels and overflowing trash remained.||DOGS- if you have dogs make sure you have poop baggies because there stands are all out of poop bags both days we were there. So also watch where you step !||I wish I would have asked for a partial refund. This place...
Read moreWe stayed at another La Quinta location last week and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. This prompted us to stay at this location, thinking it would be a similar experience…this was not the case. The staff was helpful but not the friendliest, a lot of the time they were more concerned about taking their constant smoke breaks. What bothered me the most was that this place was advertised as being “recently remodeled”. Maybe the lobby was remodeled, but the rest of the place is in rough shape. Screws/nails coming through carpet seams in the hallways, exposed duct work and insulation amongst other things. For a place that is pet-friendly, you might want to watch where your furry friend steps…one wrong step and a nail might be in their pad. There was a card in the room with the name of the person who “cleaned” our room. I won’t call this person out specifically as that isn’t my goal here, and I have a feeling that the standards are low across the board. My standards aren’t usually too high, especially for a pet-friendly hotel, but the room cleaning needs a lot of work. Layers of dust on almost every surface that wasn’t a countertop or piece of furniture. Dust caked on the bedside lamps and toilet paper holder…even the place holding our “clean” towels was dust-covered. The towels themselves looked like they had been through war. Threads pulling out everywhere with unknown brown/red stains all over them. Disgusting. The bedding was all stained with unknown marks as well. I saw that another reviewer used a black light in her room here and bless her because I do not have the stomach to handle something like that, especially at this place. The smoke detector in our room was ripped out of the ceiling and hanging by wires. The faucet in the bathroom and shower were leaking, I truly hope they have a handyman look at them, otherwise the guests below might have a flooding issue sometime soon. Very loud hotel as well. Guests slamming doors at all hours. Lastly, the exterior door to the stairwell does not have a keyed entry, leaving it unlocked at all hours for anyone to enter. Not a very secure situation. If the staff can get it together and realize what clean means, maybe you’ll have a better experience. If you don’t need a pet-friendly hotel, definitely stay elsewhere. If you do need a pet-friendly hotel, stay here with...
Read moreLa Quinta Inns are our favorite, but the cleanliness of our bathroom at this location was very upsetting, and the refrigerator had mold inside. The sink was slow draining, so we pulled up stopper (it's a type that comes out, is easy to clean, and has a little cup to trap stuff), and it was black, slimy, full of stuff and hair. Shouldn't housekeeping clean these? Also, the floor under the sink (under the shelf) was extremely dirty with lots of pet hair - my cat laid down underneath there, and when she moved, I wanted to make sure it was clean under there, so I wiped the floor with wet paper towels and was shocked to see how dirty it was - I do not want my cat laying or walking through such filth. It looked as though it had not been cleaned for a very long time, not just missed once. When I reported it to the morning person at front desk, she was friendly and apologized, but acted like she was in disbelief, especially after she asked which room # it was. She did not offer to get the manager or offer anything like extra points for our trouble, and I did not push the issue and did not ask for some type of reimbursement or compensation, but I wish now that I would have. When you pay that much for a room it should be clean, they should not rent out rooms that the guest has to do basic cleaning. We were not able to settle into the room without dealing with the mold & dirt, which is frustrating while travelling. This is not up to LaQuinta standards. The photos of the dirty paper towels show the dirt picked up with only cold water with no...
