As a lover of fried chicken and a long-time customer of KFC, I will no longer be visiting any KFC restaurants after the way my wife was treated at our local location on Hwy 53 in Calhoun, GA.
Last night my wife stopped by to pick up supper and was informed the only "bone-in" chicken they had available was wings and there would be a 15+ minute wait on other selections. My wife asked a few questions about what options were available (dinners, how many pieces, etc) and placed an order. The person at the window was not particularly friendly, but that was not the problem.
After paying for and receiving her order, she discovered the box contained one less piece of chicken than was ordered. She called the gentleman back to the window to explain and he begrudgingly handed another piece of chicken through the window (with tongs). He didn't take the box and add another piece, he didn't put the missing piece in another container, he handed a piece of food through the window with tongs.
Well, my wife told him he was not a very good server and he responded "well it's a good thing I'm not a server". My wife asked for his name. The gentleman refused to give his name, told her if she didn't move her car he would call the police (there was no one in line behind her waiting) and closed the window.
My wife honked her car's horn to call the man back to the window where he again instructed her to move her vehicle or he would call the police. She responded "I'll move my damn car when you give me your name". The gentleman gave the name "Johnathan".
When my wife arrived home and told me what happened, I called the restaurant and asked for a manager. When the manager came to the phone I asked for his name. He didn't immediately give a name, he didn't answer the call announcing his name, instead he agrily asked for my name. I gave him my name and again asked for his - he told me his name was Joseph.
I explained my wife had a bad experience and asked for the district manager's contact information. This is when the call turned ugly and he began fussing with me. So, I again asked for the district manager's contact information and was told he had no contact information to provide.
The next day I called again hoping to reach a different, more helpful manager. Lucky me, it was Joseph again and he remembered me and immediately began fussing with me again.
I will never patronize another KFC establishment again after this experience.
In my opinion customer service is still important... apparently it is not at our local KFC. I understand people have bad days and get short sometimes. But come on... a manager, who is the face of your team's leadership was rude to a customer. This is not acceptable to me.
We have other fried chicken restaurants within a mile of our local KFC (Bojangles’, Zaxby's & Popeye's). I will take my business to one of the other restaurants and recommend to my friends they...
Read moreWorst fast food place in Georgia I have ever been to. I didn’t realize my order was not full until I got home 20 minutes away (my order was $54.52) the only thing that was missing was three pieces of chicken (all white meat)
When I went back to let them know and get my three pieces of chicken the customer in line in front of me also was back there because his order was incomplete, he went through the drive-thur, my order was taken inside, the lady that took my order originally was very nice and accommodating but when I went back, she was not on duty.
I let them know that I received most of my order (I even told them what I had ordered and received) and then I informed them I was missing three pieces of chicken. I heard them in the back discussing… I heard “he can’t prove he didn’t get it” so I let them know I don’t care about the chicken anymore and this was the worse KFC I had been to and they needed to clean their floors.
The dining room seemed to be cleaned with the water that was used after the kitchen floors were cleaned (grease water). It was raining outside so the bottom of my shoes were wet, when I was standing there at the counter my feet were sliding.. I could not keep them still.
One of the cooks in the back looked as if they had the same shirt on from their 1st day, It looked very disgusting with biscuit batter caked all over it and with holes in it.
I could care less about the three pieces of chicken, but the customer service there was terrible. The cleanliness of the establishment was unacceptable.
After reading all the reviews that are posted, how and why is this restaurant...
Read moreI rarely go to KFC, and probably will not go back.
I walked in to decide what to get for my family. I ended up ordering 2 family meals, the 8 pc chicken meal and the 8 piece tender’s meal. Each came with 2 sides. Ticket #3201 at restaurant #G135097.
I drove home with the food and at home discovered that I had zero sides, only had the chicken and biscuits. I tried calling over and over for fifteen minutes-no one answered the phone. I would have been happy with a credit to come back later since it was late.
But since no one answered, I had to drive back to the store (about 10 miles each way) to deal with this. I took my receipt in and advised the clerk that I didn’t receive my sides, she seemed to know that she didn’t include them earlier.
I asked for double sides since I had to drive back to get them. I also advised that I tried calling but no one answered. Clerk got the manager for me, I repeated the is and again asked for double sides. Manager refused and asked what else I wanted. I told her that I wanted what I paid for. They got it.
Now I just tried calling the customer service number for KFC. The menu asked for English and then offers to speak with an agent or about an online order. Speaking with an agent just hangs up on you. I tried 5 times.
This company just seems...
