Moose Lodge #2199 — Hotel in Cape Coral

We had a membership here for 1 year, but chose not to renew. The major pros were that the food and drinks were cheap, it is non-smoking, and there is free pool. We enjoyed hanging out here, especially when it was slow. Drag queen bingo is a fun time to enjoy especially if you have out of town guests. The major con that caused us not to renew was the service from the bartending staff. We just felt the strangest hostile vibe no matter what we did or how well we tipped. Perhaps because we are a younger couple? After being loudly told “No!” when I requested that a tv be changed to the stanly cup playoffs, I apologized and asked if I had been offensive? The bartender laughed and told us that she “likes to fight with customers when she is bored”. Well, we are two quiet & polite folks and fighting is not our style. Also the general cleanliness of the bar area was unsettling. The beer on tap did not taste like the taps were clean, and the ingredients that came out of the bar fridge looked gross. We both got sick from a drink a bartender made for us there that included a sauce from a small fridge. Overall I was really disappointed not to be able to enjoy myself here, I loved the lending library and all of the community...

Thought I would give it one more chance after having bad experiences last season at 2199 Cape Coral lodge. Before I renewed my membership. Anyway was there today at tiki bar, ordered wing special, which is Saturdays special, wings were excellent , waitress ok, but they had no hot, mild sauces for wings. And wasn't cause they were busy, only few people there. Not like past when you were lucky to find seat. Then noticed waitress eating her dinner with hot sauce (bottle) seems she should or could have suggest that as an option. So, after last season and I did submit a survey then on FB which like this one is probably a fertile effort, never received any response what so ever. Thus decision is made, not renewing...

Absolutely amazing food and environment! I know they've been undergoing some changes but from what I've seen recently the place still has a great room and bar for members to enjoy during one of there many dinners and activities that go on and I do believe they might even rent the hall and bar out to non members! (double check) and last I come full circle back to the beginning to mention the GREAT FOOD and SERVICE that the cook and servers provide!...
