I went with family for a marriage function, this was the first time I stayed at 4 star hotel under Renaissance hotels. This hotel is located along Highway 31 in Carmel. The facilities provided were really good, the rooms were clean and tidy. They also hosted the marriage trails and was really good in providing the ambience. The hotel has a good gym and outside view was awesome with few vehicles and clean environment. According to the hotel website this hotel features an indoor pool, a restaurant, and a 24-hour fitness center. Free WiFi in public areas and free self parking are also provided. Other amenities include a bar/lounge, a 24-hour business center, and a business center. All 263 rooms offer comforts like pillowtop beds and premium bedding, plus Netflix and Smart TVs with digital channels. Coffee makers, down comforters, and free newspapers are among the other amenities available to guests. Suburban hotel with 24-hour fitness center and 24-hour business center. Renaissance Hotels is a luxury hotel brand of Marriott International. It was founded in 1981 as Ramada Renaissance, an upscale brand of Ramada Inns. In 1989 the brand was relaunched as Renaissance Hotels. It was bought by Marriott in 1997. As of June 30, 2020, it has 176 hotels with 55,501 rooms, in addition to 29 hotels with 7,613 rooms in the pipeline. Highly recommended.

I managed to use a Free Night Certificate and reserved only two days before the Great Total Eclipse of the Heartland in Indiana on April 8, 2024. No problems guaranteeing my reservation. Rooms were nice, modern, clean, no complaints. The staff were kind and worked hard to accommodate the large number of guests this weekend. Breakfast was way too crowded and obviously overwhelmed the one server but that can be expected, and I honestly couldn't complain. The parking lot is huge and even at full hotel capacity, there were plenty of extra parking spaces. I tailgated in the parking lot to observe the eclipse. Thanks to the entire Renaissance Team for making this a memorable stay. 🌞😎🌑

Good location. Hotel is aged and not well cared for. Checked in and room was damaged when we got upstairs. Area around refrigerator was completely busted away from the wall. Big chucks out the one wall. Ascetics pieces in the room falling off. 1 of the 2 main elevators was out of service all weekend. Service elevator was stuck on the 6th floor a big part Friday evening. Tv was unplugged. Staff seemed uncaring when we went to document the damage right after checking in. Acted like the room damage was normal for this hotel. Had to force them to document it. Staff only seemed to care about a wedding party on Saturday evening not any of the other guests.

What an awful stay! I checked in online through the Marriott App. My room was not ready, so I patiently waited for a telephone call from the front desk that never came. 2.5 hours later, I checked in my room only to find panties from the previous guest hanging on my shower rod. I reported it to the assistant general manager who immediately had housekeeping to take care of the issue. By this time, we had to leave for a basketball game. I returned to my room after 11:00 p.m. to find a nice apology note and a plate of candy. Nice gesture but the candy contained peanuts, the staff didn't consider that there may be a peanut allergy in the room....which there was. In addition to the note and candy, there was a roll-away bed that I did not request. I rolled it in the closet and asked for it to be removed the next morning, but it never was. I didn't follow up because I didn't have the energy. I began to prepare the pull out sofa only to find that there were dirty sheets on it from the previous guest. Never have I had to call the front desk so many times. I usually NEVER call. I called down for clean sheets and they brought them right away. They offered to make the bed but I declined. I was annoyed that they were dirty and ready to go to bed. The next morning, I attempted to start over by ordering room service. The booklet states that all orders will arrive in 25 or 35 minutes unless specified. I received a call after 35 minutes and was informed that they were out of the one of the items that I ordered. I politely declined a replacement and patiently waited 10 more minutes for more order. It arrived but it was incorrect and missing the toast. They promptly corrected the problem and deleted the charges from my bill. Again, I've never had to complain this much but this turned out to be an awful stay for $149 per night. I will NEVER visit this...

The hotel itself is very nice. It’s conveniently located close to a major highway which makes it easy to get to and easy to get to other places. The front desk staff were friendly when we checked in late night/early morning. The front desk staff during the day were less friendly as they barely greeted guests as they walked in. The main reason for my rating is the unwillingness of the manager to allow for accommodations. My son and I were in town for the under armor high school basketball event. I requested a late checkout as we learned of my son’s Sunday schedule later in the day on Saturday. I was told that only a finite number of rooms are available for late checkout. And they had unfortunately reached that finite number. I was told that Marriott loyalty members receive priority and housekeeping needed to clean the rooms to prepare for their check-in. The kicker is that I was then told I could PAY for a late checkout at a half day rate which would allow us to stay until 4pm. So … complimentary late checkout was not available (which we needed until 1pm) because they needed the rooms ASAP, but if I paid, they would No longer need the rooms ASAP and late checkout could be made available???? For the amount of money paid for this hotel, I was very disappointed and shocked at what seems like a money grab.

Additionally, if you are in town for a sports tournament, I do not recommend this hotel. They offer FREE guest laundry amenities which is awesome! However, there’s only one washer and one dryer available. During our stay, there were guests there for basketball AND baseball. We literally stalked the washer for hours. The bright spot is I got to bond with 2 really nice parents - 1 basketball and 1 baseball - as we staked out waiting for a the washer to...

I booked 3 rooms on a block in advance for a family wedding on Friday and Saturday that would include my husband and I in one room, my in-laws in another, and my brother/sister and their new baby in the third room. When booking the reservation, I mentioned that I'd like all of our rooms to be on the same floor and they assured me that would not be a problem (in order to help with the new baby).

Upon arriving at the hotel at 5:00pm on Friday night (check-in is at 3:00pm), the front desk manager was very nice, however, told us all of our rooms were not on the same floor (Floors 6, 5 and 4) and 2 out of the 3 rooms were not ready yet. What if we were to have arrived at normal check in and our rooms were not ready? They mentioned there was a big exodus the night before, but then that should have made them more prepared to have these rooms cleaned in advance. This not only happened to my immediate family, but my extended family coming in for the wedding as well including the groom's parents!

We needed to get ready for the rehearsal dinner so we agreed to the 3 different floors, and they moved some things around so that 2 out of the 3 rooms were ready. The room was nice for us. My brother/sister needed to ask numerous times for the maintenance guy to come as their heat was not working, in addition to having to ask the maid service to bring toilet paper into their bathroom as this was not restocked during Saturday's cleaning.

Hopefully this was a one time occurrence, but I wouldn't recommend going to this hotel based on my experience. They should possibly hire more cleaning staff or pay them better for whatever the case that these rooms were not ready 2 hours after...
