Ewing Annex Hotel — Hotel in Chicago

It is shameful that the place would call itself a hotel, there is no hotel service. The place takes advantage of working poor and needy people, the account book appears to change to cheat the customers staying there.

The bathroom is nasty with dead roaches on the wall. There are no clean sheets changed or given, the rooms are not exterminated. Only the lobby and employees rooms are exterminated.

This place has a death rate. The giant fan blows all night with the window closed. Coughing can be heard all through the night, only one of the two radiators work.

When people complain, management can get physically aggressive, or tell them to get out, or go through the cooked books and tell them you owe, even if you have receipts.

The community bathroom has died roaches smeared on the walls. Helping organizations come by this place, but only go to the lobby, they don't know it's truth, the hotel is a shameful place, ripping off the needy and working poor, its the...

Four walls and a door. Just that!!! For walls and a door, no ceiling. The ceiling to the rooms are composed of chicken wire. There are two sides to the hotel. However, the criteria for entering the second side is understated and considerably ambigous to be told upon questioning of the staff. The second side of the hotel does more or less resemble that of a more classic "hotel-room" style so i'm to be told. I dont know this to be true as i have not seen it with my own eyes. Dont get me wrong, it is not a bad place but it is more geared towards occupany for ab extended duration moreso than a visit for a weekend or vacation spot. The room is basic. Twin size bed, an light source, and an outlet and an few hangers. Thankfully I haven't seen any bugs! 4/10. Right in the heart of Downtown!! 10/10. 24 hr front desk service, must always return keys upon leaving. 6/10 Bathroom is also basic. Three toilets, Three sinks, and two shower heads.. bring shower shoes!! Other than that. Surprisingly, the restroom is kept up. Not the Ritz-Carlton. But an True Blessing to have an place like this hotel, at this here prime location Downtown that offers rooms for such reasonable price.. stay Blessed, Stay positive, And give back whenever you can....
