Filthy mattress. Are they bed bugs? Only the health department can say for sure but would you sleep on this stained, filthy, disgusting mattress? There was a sticky blob on the wall behind the bed that looked like a booger. Stephan Chindamo was unhelpful and unapologetic - no wonder he charged me for the room one full day before I even arrived! Thank goodness my credit card company is understanding of the ways of scammers like this. I can already predict that whatever response the owner leaves to my review will be some combination of: aggressive, gaslighting, and untruthful. I would also bet these recent 5 star reviews were paid, as they are suspiciously linguistically similar. Check out the Yelp reviews, as they have similar pictures and descriptions of the filth. Edited to add: LOL see the owner's reply, just as I predicted. I've seen lint and that was NOT lint. Also, I am not the first to make this claim - check out Yelp. Anyone with a (non-grifting) brain can see the mattress was stained and disgusting with specks of NOT LINT You literally could not pay me to stay in...
Read moreBooked this directly at 8:30 PM for that same night after having an issue at the original hotel I booked. Initially for 5 nights- but after 2 nights I had to return home because my husband was ill. I told the owner Steve that there was a possibility I had the leave after the 1st night for this reason and he responded "OK" - never mentioning a cancelation policy. After I left - I called 3 times and sent 2 texts asking for a receipt for the 2 nights I stayed there. No response. This morning I saw a charge on my AMEX for over $1000 ( hotel booked directly online is $158 PN). I immediately called AMEX to dispute the charge. Just now I received the receipt by email showing charges for 5 nights! Never once was I informed either verbally or in writing of these charges nor the cancellation policy until AFTER I FILED A DISPUTE! And, BTW while the hotel is quaint looking from the out side - the rooms are AWFUL. No bulbs in light fixtures...uncomfortable beds...Terrible shower and chipped and dirty walls. DO...

This is not a motel—it's a charming inn! Steve, the host, greeted us upon arrival and personally helped us to our room. His hospitality was truly exceptional, making him one of the best hosts I’ve ever encountered. The building itself, built in 1857, is rich in history, and the room was cozy, making us feel right at home. We even had our own private patio area, which was perfect for relaxing and soaking in the peaceful vibes of Saratoga.
The location is incredibly convenient. We walked 1.7 miles to SPAC and just 0.5 miles to downtown, which was especially nice for me at 52, as I appreciated not needing to drive anywhere.
I will definitely be back! There’s no need to look for another place to stay in Saratoga. Steve ensured we were well taken care of the entire weekend, making our stay...
