This hotel saved our hineys! We had originally booked at Travelodge in Powell but to our great uncomfortable and fear the room we booked there was straight out of a murder crime documentary. Our deadbolt didn’t work and the door could easily be pushed open. You had to slam your entire body weight against it to get the door to close. There were crumbs and bugs and leaves all over the floor. The power went out for at least half an hour. The vibe was totally off and for some reason it felt like someone was watching our every move. So in desperation we called around to some other hotels and to our great joy Comfort Inn had two available rooms! We quickly jumped on the opportunity to take one, packed all of our belonging back into the car, and got out of Powell faster than you can spell Mississippi. We were gone. Upon arriving to Comfort Inn we were greeted by smiling faces and a very warm welcome. The staff was so friendly and upon hearing our horror story, reassured us the building couldn’t be opened without a keycard, their rooms were thoroughly cleaned, and their locks did indeed work. With gratitude we took our room key and went to our room. Walking into our room was like walking into Heaven after what we had experienced. The room was stunning. Very clean. Very warm. Very COMFORTable you might say. It was like getting a hug from your grandma who you haven’t seen in a while. Just so warm and perfect. The breakfast was next door in the motel office gift shop place that had the cutest little dining area that took you back in time and made you feel like you might meet buffalo bill himself there. Thank you Comfort Inn for living up to your name. It was also fairly affordable, all things considered. I would recommend to any and everyone that the next time you book a hotel in Cody, Wyoming you make comfort in...
Read moreThe hotel itself is nice, rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff at the hotel was friendly. We stayed at this hotel as we were on our way out of yellow stone and heading home. We booked in Cody because it was the closest town and the hotel offered breakfast. Now, please take this review how you see fit. Breakfast is served at the holiday inn hotel right next door, I think these are considered sister hotels. The service at the restaurant was atrocious. There was an older lady at the restaurant that was so rude to everyone. Specifically to those that don’t phenotypically “look” like her. First, when I lined up to get breakfast, she came and told me to my face that “her people” wouldn’t be able to get something to eat, the whole time we were at the restaurant, she made my family and I feel like we were a bother to be there. On top of that, another family came in with 2 other little girls 15 minutes before close of the breakfast, and she told them she was not gonna give them waffles because breakfast was to be done in 15 minutes. Again, take this review with a grain of salt, may be this specific employee was having a bad day, but again this behavior was inexcusable to say the least. Would I recommend to staying at this hotel, absolutely yes, having breakfast there? Probably not, especially if you look different. I wanted to give the hotel 5 stars but because of our experience at the restaurant, a 3 is...
Read moreI suggest you skip the Comfort Inn in Cody, Wy (there are many other fine local options). Here was my recent experience. First, I had made some basic room requests such as a room facing away from the busy road out front, etc. These requests were totally ignored and when I inquired why this was so, I was told that their Reward Program member's priorities are secondary to large bus tours (so much for their 'Special' Reward Member program). I did suggest that it might be better to acknowledge that special room requests were made, but could not be fulfilled for whatever reason upon check-in, instead of sending guests off to a room with apparent total disregard of their requests. Second, upon settling into my room I noticed that my sock was soaked. Upon investigation, I noticed that there was a large wet area on the carpet next to the bed (ewwwww). As you can imagine this was unsettling, most uncomfortable, and I have no idea what fluid I was stepping in. When I discussed the ignored room requests and wet carpet with the front desk, the issues were dismissed with a relative nonchalance, and with no offer to compensate for the issues. Also, the hotel is worn and very underwhelming. Just pass this hotel up for a better offering in Cody, WY. Perhaps a hotel that does not prioritize bus tour groups over families on vacation, and takes the condition of their rooms...
