We visited the store on a girls trip recently and were offered free samples of fudge. I tried mallow madness which was good. One of the ladies in my group saw a sign for huckleberry fudge and asked if they had anymore (spot was empty). And older lady seemed annoyed at the request, but went and got it from the back. The employee then asked how much we wanted, to which my friend said "a sample". The employee replied, "oh, that's it?" Yes, of course....we wanted to sample it first. We tried it and it was delicious. So 3 people in our group purchased over a pound of it combined. The 4th person in our group asked to try two other flavors (she purchased some of both). This is when the "annoyed" older lady scolded us and let us know that they generally only allow one sample per person. That's fine, but then just put out a sign that says that. Instead we were made to feel stupid. I understand that Cody is a busy tourist town and its not sustainable to offer endless samples, but each person in our group that sampled, purchased some fudge (probably 1.5-2lbs total). It's not like we just walked away. Clearly the samples worked....why say that to us if we were spending money? Either way, the fudge is yummy. I'm eating the rest of mine now. The other...
Read moreIn my opinion, the negative reviews are just immature. This is a wonderful place to buy candy, even considering it's prices. It's all good quality. The only issue the fellow customers have is not asking the questions that they need to. They are very patient with questions, so don't be afraid to ask. I'm not one to spend my money on things like this usually, but if I were to, then my money most definitely would be invested here. They have so much variety and absolutely delicious fudge. (I love chocolate fudge, but I'm very picky.) This is an ideal stop for you if you have children or simply love good candy. I came here during a vacation and it was one of the best parts of my whole trip. After I walked in, I felt like a...
Read moreI bought some candy for gifts and decided to treat myself to some candy. The chocolate toffee bars looked good. As I make toffee from scratch at home at Christmas time, I was absolutely shocked by this product I had purchased at the Cowtown Candy store. It literally was a chocolate coated graham cracker!! What?? This is what they are passing off as " toffee"?? As overpriced as they are ....and I get a graham cracker called toffee.... Shame on the owner and the people who make the food. Not good business my friends, not good business. Sadly, your establishment is off my shopping list!! I will make my own candies and know....they are the...
