Came for Ft. Jackson graduation. Stayed 3 nights. The staff is TOP notch!!!! Rooms were clean minus a huge water bug but that kind of stuff happens. Small basketball hoop set up in rear of hotel where my 12yr spent most of his time. Fire pit and grill available for use and nice outside seating. Not covered though so if it rains no where to sit outside. Breakfast was wonderful plenty to choose from and Erica was the bomb! She made sure everything was good and fresh. Checking on us multiple times and wonderful conversation. It's close to store if needed and the kitchen was originally why we booked but only used one time. However everything we would need in it and not overly cramped. Shower was nice and hot with good water pressure. We declined room service but were able to swap towels as needed. Night audit was a breeze for check in. We were on the road for 18hrs when we arrived and it was 11p so we were beat. Only 15min drive to base so it was a great location for us. We are from tiny town but felt so safe we let the 12yr leave room on his own and go to back area of hotel to have fun. Only complaint would be not any trash cans by parking just the dumpster which isn't horrible just a little annoying when it is raining. The pool wasn't open (not sure if just because of season or not never asked) it was a bit disappointing to my 2 kids but not enough to make a fuss. There was basketball and corn hole available so that kept...
Read moreMy friends and I are from New Jersey, we stayed at the Marriott Townesuites overnight for a dirtbike race that was on February 4, 2018. We checked into our room February 3, 2018, woke up to find an empty space where our van was parked. Our Van was stolen, along with 3 dirtbikes, riding gear for three people, tools, easy up and various other items. Marriot staff was hesitant to call the local police department and eventually did after asking multiple times. Once the police were on scene marriot staff refused to show the police any camera footage. I was told the “manager” was the only one who could view the footage and she would be coming in at 0700. The “manager” did in fact come into work for 0700, she had alcohol emanating from her breath, and advised me she could not retrieve the surveillance footage. I advised the police I saw a camera that was over looking the parking lot and it was pointed in the direction where our van was stolen. The police conducted a follow up with this Marriott and staff would not provide them with surveillance footage, they advised that there was nothing of evidential value captured on the footage. I am writing this review so that no one has to go through this terrible expirence. This is an indictable crime that occurred on the Marriott property exceeding a loss of over $30,000. Glad the marriot is concerned about their customers and...
Read moreNice large bathrooms, and great closet. Fridge nice and cold. A/C worked great. One star for the hot shower and one star for the front desk person who apologized for the noise and said she’d ask them to keep it down. I needed extra pillows and they only had one. Was told breakfast wasn’t served till 7:30am, pool closed at 9:00pm and it was locked before 9:00pm. No ice in ice machine the next morning. Hair clumps were floating in the pool. Sat in the lobby area to gather things around noon and left with syrup on my skirt (breakfast was long over with). Loud people running up and down the fourth floor till 1am, as well as talking loud after asking them to keep it down. Dishwasher started automatically around 1:30am. Asked at 7:20am for a late check out and was told no, sorry. In the end she gave us a late check out. So sweet of her. Oh and the biggest negative was the permanent residence that “hang” out all over the hotel. Not like any other Marriott I have stayed at in the past. If coming into town, skip over this location, the Hampton Inn looked nice. The other positive reviews must’ve been from the permanent homeless residence, that were displaced by the floods of 2016 and still living off the Government (this is what I was told by one of the older residence). How...
