Chart Room — Restaurant in Coralville

I was cruising through Google looking for a fun spot in Iowa City, and The Chart Room popped up with glowing reviews. Let me tell you — those stars are WELL earned. I trusted the people of the internet, and for once, they absolutely delivered!

From the second we walked in, it felt like we had boarded a luxury cruise ship... minus the seasickness and with way better drinks. Speaking of the drinks — they aren’t just poured, they’re performed. Lights, smoke, color, drama — it’s like Hamilton but with tequila. Every cocktail was a showstopper. If the drinks had an encore, I would’ve stayed all night!

Massive shout-out to our server Reina, who was basically the cruise director of this wild, wonderful adventure. She kept the good times rolling with killer service, lots of laughs, and some kind of drink ESP where she knew exactly what we needed before we even finished saying it. Seriously — give this woman a trophy.

Bottom Line: If you're even thinking about where to go in Iowa City — stop thinking. Go here. The Chart Room isn’t just a bar; it’s a whole vibe. Google said it was amazing, and for once, Google wasn’t lying. Five stars, two thumbs up, and a full-on standing ovation from me!

I've recently decided to try drinking. The bartendress explained to me why some people put water in their whiskey and some don't. I might have to go back here it seems like an upscale place. I specifically like the words on the sign outside but I forget what they say, something about like being in the moment or something. I selfishly have held off writing a review as the Chart Room is such a hidden gem that I’d hoped to keep it that way. Hands down the best selection in the area for bourbons & whiskeys as well as all your other favorite and hard to find liquors. Tony and Sebastian are incredibly knowledgeable and can provide informative insight and recommendations to suit any palate. Prices are fair and I can almost guarantee you will see offerings found no where else in the state. Low key environment, perfect for...
