Disappointed. Came in for a birthday party of 9 people on a Sunday afternoon, reasonable wait time considering circumstances. Got sat with server Teresa s and got bread and drinks in good time but then had a long wait for salads and any refills. Food came out cooked to the wrong temperatures and mixed up sides, had to have a meal be remade and it came out well done after telling the server multiple times that it was ordered to be medium (understandably may have not been servers fault) asked for it to be remade and put in a to go box since everyone else already had their food and it was being remade a second time. Everyone else ate as we waited for meal to be redone again, no refills for empty glasses in this time and food was just ok compared to every other time we have come for a special occasion. Once we finished eating we received our checks and paid and tipped we were then told they had not been remaking the meal and it was just taken off the check and if we wanted it remade to go we would have to pay for it after it had been messed up twice. Got them to remake it for the 3rd time to go without any charge, 3rd steak came out wrong temp again and burnt to the eye and taste. Without a doubt worst experience at this location and any restaurant in a long time. We love to come here for special occasions but there always seems to be issues in some way and no help from staff to fix the issues efficiently.

There are plenty of restaurants in the Dawsonville, and we like to visit new restaurants in the area. The LongHorn Steakhouse has been on our list for a while. It was a mixed experience. We visited the restaurant on a Sunday around 6:15 pm, and it was half empty. There were several tables that had not been cleaned. Our table surface was ok, the seats had breadcrumbs, and the area under the table had not been cleaned in a while. The service was average, lack of water refills, and a flat beer, that should not be served. The bathroom was very, very dirty. I would not go back to the bathroom at all. The positive was definitely the food. The Cesar salad dressing was very well seasoned, the fries were hot and tasty, and the steak was cooked to point at medium rare. The portions were good. The price point was a bit high, but that is very much the situation everywhere. Here are my scores (I usually do not list like that, but it might help management) Guest greeting - 3.9 Overall restaurant appearance - 4.0 Clean table experience - 4.0 Bathroom condition - 3.7 Service - 4.5 Beverage - 4.3 Food salad - 4.5 Food sides - 4.6 Steak - 4.7 Score - 4.3

The worst experience ever!! The manager was a JOKE! Ordered MED rare ribeye x 2, got 2 cooked MED to MED well, sent back to fix, this is what they sent out!! Well done!! By the time they sent out a third steak, two people of the five at the table were already done eating, the manager had to be forced to come to the table by our server, who was great btw, and got a good tip because of her service, but omg, what an embarrassment that manager was!! He wouldn’t even apologize at first, then he offered to give us one free dessert which was a JOKE and I refused! I was so disgusted by his inability to offer a solution that made sense, I just asked for some boxes, didn’t eat my cold steak ( which got that way waiting for my daughters steak to be remade a third time) and paid the bill and left. I swore to myself I would let others know my experience at the Dawsonville, GA location because they need to fix their management team, and I will not be giving them any more of my business EVER AGAIN!

Honestly things just went from bad to worse. Our waitress had no business working with customers, she had an attitude problem from the beginning. We went out to celebrate my husband for veterans day. We had 7 people and although some of those people were kids and they put us at a table for 6.. okay no problem if it gets us in and our food quicker. Waitress had RBF, which again okay maybe she's had a rough night.. she immediately proves it's not just a face problem before we are even able to put out drink order in. We finally got bread and drinks, and she came to get our order. At this point I'm on edge because I don't like the way she's treating our table. Something I ordered they happened to be out of, and I do appreciate when she came out and apologized and asked if I wanted something else instead. We wait for our food and it starts coming out in bits and pieces which is kinda hard to explain to kids why one has food and the other doesnt.. finally we all have food. 3 of us ordered steaks and not one person got it the way they ordered, nothing was seasoned well.. worst of all in opinion is my husband's steak was half burned, the broccoli which is his favorite part was cooked so hard it was basically mush and it wasn't seasoned at all. The one thing he had he could eat was the rice. He's really not one to say anything usually he even ordered his steak rare because he'll eat anywhere from rare to medium.. just not well done or burned. He asked if maybe they could get him some new broccoli that was seasoned.. they brought him raw broccoli with melted butter on it. At this point he had given up trying to have them fix it.. I tried to step in when he was explaining he just wanted broccoli cooked and seasoned.. when the waitress just says we'll that's our broccoli I don't know what you want from us.. the manger came and just argued even more.. my husband was so over it he just told them to completely forget it. I don't understand how a restaurant can charge us $20 for some half decent rice.. on veterans day to a veteran. And to top it all off she had the nerve to thank him for his service.. as if she didn't just belittle us, talk down to us and argue. If I could I'd give them...

My first and most important compliment goes to Sadie R. She is as sweet as sugar! She is one of the most wonderful servers I've ever had. I know I'm rather difficult to serve as I require specific adjustments from the norm, but she adapted with absolutely no question and zero delay. I hope all of your new servers can learn from her and mirror their own work after her as she is an absolute delight. That's my first compliment.

The second one goes to Luis. He came over to my table to ensure I was happy with the resolution to a problem pertaining to the portion size of my entree. Props to him for being a manager who cares about his customers and strives for nothing but the best of service for them all. That's my second compliment.

My ONLY complaint was the portion size of the chicken tenders. I received 6 fairly small chicken tenders that I felt didn't represent what I normally get whenever I had gone to a Longhorn Steakhouse in the past. I was very fortunate that my server Sadie R and the manager Luis were gracious enough to resolve this problem.

I felt like I was a treasured guest while dining at this establishment, and I will definitely return in the future. Now for the ratings:

EDIT::: came back to give them another shot. I’ve avoided Longhorns since the review below. I got a ribeye, rare. Steak arrived cooked properly rare to mid rare though the steak was under seasoned and tough as shoe leather. Cooks like this on a ribeye should not be this tough. Review from 3 years ago is still valid. Staff is good but food is not worth the money. Cook at home and it’s MUCH BETTER !

My family and in-laws went to Longhorns 3/3/22. We were seated pretty quickly as the front of house has always been pretty good. I ordered a gin and tonic along with the filet mid rare. What I got was a double shot of straight gin, and a bland, over cooked filet. Even the sweet potato was bland. Filet is the Cadillac of steaks and while the tenderness was ok, the meat was lacking salt, no flavor, and closer to med-med well than mid rare. My daughter ordered the kids sirloin, as we have on most occasions. Her steak was almost as small as the lemon wedge in her tea! It was tiny and before you think, "this is from the kids menu" all the other times it has been at least double what we received (about the 6 oz or so). Her steak was also bland and over cooked. My in-law ordered a ribeye. Theirs was cooked perfectly mid rare and had great flavor. So they got that one right thank goodness.

Long story short, its risky to get your steak cooked and tasting how you want it. This has been my experience over the last few trips to Longhorns. Its better if I buy my own and cook it at home. This restaurant has gone down hill the last few years and not...
