My daughter and I were in this store last night to look for her first Coach bag as a Christmas gift from her dad. She was so excited! There was an African American sales associate (name started with a J) that assisted her, and SHE WAS AMAZING!!!! She went above and beyond and was so engaging with my daughter. This review is NOT about her. Once we got to the register, the clerk with black hair and glasses (nobody wears name tags and they all refuse to give names-RED FLAG) checked her out. However, this was only after her and the associate with long straight red hair went back and forth over who would check her out! We just stood there and watched their immaturity and unprofessional behavior continue in front of us. My daughter wanted to use her gift card first and then pay the rest with her checking account. They swiped her gift card of $50, and then told her to run her debit card. The machine kept freezing and would not let her tap on anything. The girl mentioned that the same machine was doing that earlier. So why put a customer on it again, right?! They canceled the transaction and said her gift card would be fine, which I knew wasn’t the case. They should have been able to suspend the transaction and move her to another register. Needless to say, they messed up her gift card, and she didn’t not get the money back and probably won’t for several days. She was so mad, especially b/c this could have been avoided, but more specifically b/c they acted like it was no big deal. They literally did not care and did not go above and beyond to accommodate her. At that point, she refused to buy the bag out of principle. She would rather go to another Coach store, which we will tomorrow, and give them her money. The girl with the long red hair was so unprofessional. When I said that we were not at Kmart and they should not be treating the situation lightly, she snickered as she went to get the mgr. The store mgr only said “sorry” and that the incident with the machine would be treated as a “teaching moment.” The other thing that we hated upon leaving was that the lady that assisted us will now not get her commission for the job she did so professionally. The level of professionalism in both appearance and attitude that one would expect from a Coach employee does NOT exist here. Do NOT spend your money at...
Read moreI’ve been shopping at this location for a few years now, and I would gladly give 5 stars…in the past, but not now. My daughter and I were shopping there last week, and the shopping experience was quite pleasant…until we were racially profiled. One of the sales associate, I believe her name started with a Z, approached us, quite professionally, and willing to help. We engaged in brief conversation with her, and never detected any issues. I had on a cream sweatsuit with black eyes all over it. Each eye had a black heart for pupils and tear drops. When she made her way back to check on us, she complimented me on my outfit and asked where I got it. She then said that she once met a man that had tear drops on his face, and she later learned that those were gang and prison related tattoos. She then commences to ask me if my outfit was gang affiliated. She chuckled and said she doubted it, but the tears looked like those on the ex con gang member she had met. I was more than floored…I was pissed!!! I am an African American woman with probably double the education of this white lady. I am a class act. And I’ll go to my grave continuing to be just that. I don’t even know any gang members, but clearly she has interacted with at least one. What she said to me was racially motivated, it was prejudiced, it was unprofessional, and it was out of line. I didn’t respond much to her beyond telling her no, my sweats were not gang related, but I have reported her to corporate. Have I heard back from them? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have more class, more self respect and more common sense than to curse her ass out, but I wanted to. And people say racism no longer exists. I cry BS on that, all day long. Will I ever return to this store? I’m not sure, but it would be nice if the location AND corporate handles this because if they don’t, then that’s proof positive of what kind of company...
Read moreSo I would call but it would be to confusing so I'll just write this as a review because when I went everyone was awesome and I can't remember the sales ladies name. I went in the store at the beginning of November because I needed to purchase a new wallet. A lady with brown medium length hair kinda curly and glasses was helping and I was telling her the story of how I had lost my wallet the weekend before in atlanta and I loved the style of the wallet that I had before so I bought the same exact one. Well I was telling her my story about how my father had bought me the wallet before he passed away and that the wallet was just sentimental to me. She looked at me and said "it will be ok I have this crazy feeling that you will get that wallet back. It will come back to you." I just got off the phone with a lady who found my old wallet and all my stuff was still inside, 2 months later. Thank you for being so kind and being positive, these sales ladies are the best! I don't know if anyone working there will remember but I just wanted to write this because some times good...
