My daughter wanted to eat fancy tonight so we dressed up and went to the bicycle to test the food. We were not disappointed! We started with escargot with red wine sauce. VERY good and loved the goat cheese crumbles. My 5 yr old tried it (without knowing what it was lol) and she said it was good. We loved it compared to others escargot dishes we’ve had. For dinner, we had the duck with blueberry sauce and chicken with mustard sauce. The duck was sweeter than I anticipated, but it was still tasty. The star of the night was the chicken by far. This was recommended to us by the waiter if I could remember his name, I would give him the credit. That’s the dish. I have to figure out how to make it home because it was extremely good. Dessert was chocolate mousse, and the lemon crème brûlée. The crème brûlée was amazing! Nice lemon flavor and the bitterness of the scorched sugar helped with the sweetness. All said this is a wonderful place to eat! My little town is known for chain restaurants. Having a place with a changing menu where everything is freshly made is a breath of fresh air! We will be coming back for sure many times a year. My daughter got credit for a great idea!

The Blue Bicycle really means it when they say, “Come, relax, eat and enjoy.” I came here for my birthday dinner with a group of friends and had an amazing time; the atmosphere and friendly staff makes the Blue Bicycle a nice cozy spot for a great meal. First off, if you ever come here and the Exotic Mushrooms with Gnocchi is on the menu, get it. Your only regret will be that you did not have enough patience to take a picture of your dish before diving into this beautiful and savory appetizer (like me). For my main, I chose the Seared Smoked Duck Breast which had a nice and light sauce. The dish was good overall but my rice felt a little harder/dryer than I would have liked. Our table also tried the seasonal Laura’s Ratatouille which was fantastic and the goat cheese on top made it that much better. We finished our night with desserts, mine being a peaches and cream cake which was a refreshing and sweet end to a great evening with my friends. The Blue Bicycle is definitely worth a try and if you ever find yourself there, take some time to appreciate the cute little salt and pepper shakers they have for each table!

The Blue Bicycle - “A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering ❤️” A beautiful, charming bistro tucked away in a corner, an absolute gem! I had no idea it existed until we were looking for a new spot for a long-overdue lunch catch-up. The moment we walked in, we knew we had found The Place ❤️ We were greeted warmly and treated to amazing, finger-licking food. Our attentive and gracious server made the experience even more enjoyable, and the chef even stopped by to check that everything was perfect. We started with a cold beer and cocktails like the Ward 8 and Hartsfield Jackson, paired with the Exotic Mushroom Gnocchi appetizer and the Mushroom Cream Soup. For mains, we had the Poulet à la Moutarde and the NC Mountain Trout, both outstanding. Dessert was irresistible: Vanilla Bean Brûlée and Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse. I cannot wait to go back and explore the rest of the menu. This is a must-visit for anyone looking for a quiet, cozy spot with delicious food.

Service was dreadful. Waiter walked up to our table and without even greeting us and/or introducing himself to us, asked us what we wanted to drink, we gave him our drink orders and started to tell him what appetizer we wanted but he had already walked away. Yep, turned his back and walked away as we were talking to him! Maybe he was having a bad day. My husband and I don't have patience for that kind of service though, even if it was due to having a foul day. There was nothing on the menu that sounded even remotely delicious and with a small, 1 page menu, you are stuck making one of those choices. While we were waiting for our drinks, we observed the hostess rag and get on to one of the other waiters about the way the menus were stacked or something. We felt embarrassed for her.I The hostess was loud and so rude to her. So between the service (or lack thereof) and the menu choices, we decided to leave. My husband paid for the drink and the appetizer that eventually got ordered but never to the table. The waiter was disgusted with my husband for leaving. We were not about to drop, easily, $100 for that kind of service. The only reason I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars is because we dined here a year ago and had a very different experience. Still a very small menu, but that time had a few delicious options. We love to support local and unique restaurants, unfortunately this is one place that we won't...

I am a self proclaimed food obsessive. I travel based on what I am going to eat. I think about my next meal while I’m still eating. It is very rare I can sit down to a meal and not find a single complaint with the food. I am a firm believer the bread course is a true tell of the food I am about to experience. I stepped away to wash my hands and upon my return, my mother admitted she had eaten all of the bread. This is a small but significant detail because my mother doesn’t really like bread. We asked for another basket and I finally got a taste. The bread course was simple but perfect. We ordered the exotic mushroom gnocchi, chicken liver pâté, and beet salad to start. Yeah, yeah. We love to eat. Every single thing was prepared perfectly. I will etch the horseradish yogurt into my mind for the future. The exotic mushrooms and gnocchi blew my mind. Can I get a cup of brown butter please? The main courses consisted of a smoked duck breast with an apple cider reduction and wild shrimp served on grit cake. Both were beyond. Needless to say, there was not a single bit food left on any plate. Who cares about being polite when the food is this good. The jury is still out on the dessert we are taking home, but if this meal is any indicator of the dessert, we are in for a treat. I’ve had $500 meals that weren’t this good. Don’t judge this book by the cover. It’s a...

My girl and I decided to make an impromptu afternoon shopping trip to the North Georgia Premium Outlets on July 5th. Because it was later in the day, we started looking into finding a local restaurant; a gem, as we like to call them, so we would not be relegated to eating at one of those all too common suburban cookie cutter eateries. We came across The Blue Bicycle and checked out the reviews which were mostly positive with a few not so lustrous in which people complained about poor service, the lack of a child friendly menu and, of all things, the speed of which bread arrived at the table. Our experience was lovely. I was sure to test the critics by asking for a basket of bread straight away. It arrived very quickly and Chris, our server, was very friendly, courteous and attentive with out being too much so. The food was surprisingly good, and I say surprisingly because most out of the way, small town restaurants that we visit on our travels simply do not serve the quality of food as The Blue Bicycle. As for the lack of a child's menu, there is one available. If it isn't immediately provided, ask for it... I don't need one and, honestly, was glad to not have to worry about the possibility of an unhappy child ruining my meal. The ambiance was a little different to be sure but our time there was very well spent as...
