The North Face Dawsonville Outlet — Local services in Cumming

This is the second great experience I’ve had at this store, both worth writing about but today I had to remember to review.

In February or March of this year I went out with a group of friends and somehow my Thermoball came up missing. Tried to call the bar several times and no one would ever answer. Voicemail never returned. Impossible to reach someone to inquire about lost and found. So I chalked it up as a loss. Called this summer to this North Face store about replacing it and was told by the associate I would get a call back when the jacket was in stock. No call. No big deal - a lot going on at a retail store with this volume so unsurprising.

Tried to come back in October and my then-partner was having a passive aggressive moment so we skipped it and drove an hour back to Atlanta, again without a jacket replacement.

Finally get back the day after Christmas. I arrived later in the afternoon and had to wait about 15 minutes in line outside to get in. It was below 40° so not ideal, but once I got inside I understood why and commend them for keeping some order to the chaos. The associate holding the line (Christian) was very nice and personable with everyone in line.

I walked right over to the women’s Thermoballs and to my chagrin, only SMALLS! Not a single black Thermoball in any other size. Judging from the last couple years of supply chain issues, I figure I’m out of luck. I ask an associate (petite young lady in a white hooded sweatshirt) if she would mind checking the go-backs to see if there was a Medium laying around. I wandered around for a while to give her some time, then after browsing the ransacked store (lol), I accepted defeat that most of anything in my size was sold out, and headed over to the line.

Associate who checked reported no Mediums located (tear). I shared my story with the cashier, and then the assistant manager (Matt?) overheard my inquiries (like, do they offer shipping from the store so I don’t have to drive 2 hours round trip to pick up this jacket if they ever have it again lol). Matt was about to take my information down to help further (maybe call me when it came in again?) and he paused a moment to ask if anyone had checked the go-backs. I told him that she had (pointed to associate in the white hoodie who helped me before), but in the blink of an eye, he turned around to the giant pile once more and retrieved not one but TWO medium black Thermoballs 😍🥰 the timing was crucial, and perfect!! Had it not been for Matt giving it one more try, I’d have walked out empty handed.

I really appreciate the team work and hospitality from this team. Each could have easily said, sorry we don’t have it. Better luck next time. But they all found a way to somehow say yes, or let’s try another way. It’s a long drive from Atlanta but service like this is hard to come by and I’m happy I made the trek for it.

I bought a pair of hiking shoes last year for a Christmas gift. I thought I checked The box and the size of both shoes. And so did the cashier. Three months later I found the shoes were two different sizes. Two sizes different.

Bummed out I went to the outlet store Saturday expecting a hassle. A big problem. So I resolved to accept the worst should it occur, not complaint, two shoes that were two different sizes and be out $85.

I spoke to the manager and he couldn’t have been nicer. I had No receipt. No box. Just the shoes.

He was super apologetic and he went looking for a pair with the right size. I could not believe it. They had the shoes in the right size!

He again apologized and was super nice and friendly. He triple checked the sizes and took me up front to check out and did a direct swap.

No hassle. No problem. What a great experience! I still...

Love shopping for new clothes at this outlet store because they always have deals going on! This past week they had a 50% off prior season, so I loaded up and bought several new shirts, a jacket and some pants. The store is very clean and well organized. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The only thing though is almost everything in their store that is on the floor is what they have. If your size is not on the rack, they don’t have it. Not a deal breaker for me though, because I’m always bound to find something I need in there and in my size. Keep up the awesome...
