My 9 year old (almost 10) has been a student with I-code and Terence for almost 2 months now. He joined as a member of the VEX competitions team and he absolutely loves it. Terence is an amazing teacher and knows how to motivate kids to think independently. What I really appreciate about Terence's style of coaching the kids is he guides them in a very hands off manner to encourage them to push themselves and find solutions. This helps build confidence and independence in them. But at the same time Terence somehow manages to teach them all the crucial aspects of engineering/robotics/building/problem solving and above all TEAM WORK! I-code is not just teaching these kids robotics but soft skills beyond that. I have seen the kids work as a team and so efficiently. This is one class where we do not have to remind our kid to go, he is so eager to spend more and more time at the centre. iCode Cupertino center is, in my opinion, the best robotics academy for children in the Silicon Valley. Terence, The chief instructor at iCoda Cupertino, is a great mentor and organizer. The first time I contacted Terence by email, he not only answered all my questions in detail but also gave me a long phone call so that I could learn everything about the classes in the academy. He also made several great suggestions on my kid's choice of the program in the academy. My feeling is that he cares deeply about the growth of every student. The instructor of the white belt class is also a very responsible and knowledgeable teacher, and my kid learned a lot of engineering stuff from her.
