meet fresh is a taiwanese dessert spot known for their ice desserts and soups with toppings like taro balls, grass jelly, red bean, and boba. there's always an excessively long line to order using the kiosk. tip: you can order with an employee at the counter and skip the line. they ask for your phone number, assuming to text you when your order is ready. however, we never got notified our order was ready. i kept going to counter and checking but they don't label the orders. so, ended getting our tray much later than it was put out and unfortunately a lot of the ice was melted which was slightly disappointing :/ desserts are not cheap but can easily be shared between 2 people. // icy taro ball signature // ice, taro ball, potato ball, taro paste, boba, etc. this ice is much coarser and doesn't have much flavor. i like the taro balls in this though. // icy signature grass jelly // grass jelly flavored ice, grass jelly, red bean, peanuts, etc. this ice is grass jelly flavored and is much smoother which i prefer. overall, unique taiwanese desserts. line is always long and service isn't the best, but a good option if you want to share a dessert or two with a friend. there's usually seating. also not sure if the grass jelly dish was supposed to be given in a takeout container. saw some other orders in dine in bowls and it looked way bigger. wish we were notified of our order before it melted though :/ i hope this would be different if i return in the future!

Meet Fresh has been my long time favorite since discovering it years ago! I love anything chewy and not too sweet but just enough as a treat. Drinks and what I like to call interactive eats - foods that have different tastes and textures, variety and complex yet simple at the same time, man I'm there 😋 The massive menu might be intimidating if you've never gone there but if your curiosity pulls you in you'll see how user friendly everything is with suggestive photos and descriptions of what's in it. My favorites are the shaved ice, tofu (Their version of taho 🇵🇭), anything grass jelly and taro balls stuffs with cold treats for summer, and their hot versions for winter (trust) with a 50% sugar or so. They also have different seasonal treats and promos sometimes. So good. This particular one is in the Main Street Plaza. It's a massive space with spacious seating and lines that move fairly quickly. I mean you'll probably spend the whole time deciding what you want anyways. That's me, Ms. Indecisive but I want everything at the same time, haha. And if not eating in, take it to-go to eat by the square in front or the park behind, or at home. Your biggest obstacle would be picking what you'd want to try! First world problems, am I right. Prices are fair, you are paying for a premium dessert experience after all. I cannot wait to visit Taiwan. Taiwanese desserts just hit different.

NO FOOD. NO REFUND. NO APOLOGY. Minus 5 stars. After waiting for 30 minutes in line to order, and then another 40 minutes for the food, I was told by a worker there that they don't ingredients and will not make any more orders. He told us to leave our receipts with them, and that they will process the refund TOMORROW. NOT NOW. TOMORROW. There were probably 12 more customers or groups in the same situation as I. Someone challenged, is that even legal? You took our money, made us wait, told us there is no food, and cannot process refund there? When we asked for a manager, we were told there was no manager on site and there was no way to give us the refund there. This is the worst management situation I have ever encountered. How can the store tell us to just leave the receipts there? How do we know that the refund will actually be process? I was in the line at about 8:30 pm, in the door about 8:45 pm, completed my order at 9:04 according to my receipt. There were still a long line of people after me who continued to order. People who ordered after us got their food. We kept waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Finally at 9:40 I asked where is my food? Then I was told that it was never made because they ran out of one ingredient. Why wasn't I told earlier? Like I said, there were 10+ groups of angry people there in a similar situation. You should have had a manager on-site. Someone needs to make sure that people no longer get in line to order at posted closing time. For people who already placed order, you need to deliver!!! When you run out of food, you need to tell the customers so we don't waste our time to wait there. You need to have some way to refund the customer immediately. You should compensate the customer for such a horrible situation. Oh also, we received no APOLOGY whatsoever. When a different customer mentioned that she would leave a bad review online, the worker, J. C., said, GO AHEAD! Wow, this is how you treat your customers after you failed them? I collected the pictures of receipts of a few groups of people. There were more that I didn't get a chance to take picture of their receipts. I submitted a complaint at BBB. Case number is xxxxxxxx-cff9-11eb-8c56-0e63a05a1194

The management of this store is terrible. Today, I placed an order on my phone, but when I arrived at the store, I found that my order had been rejected. Then, I tried ordering from the self-service kiosk, only to discover that there were no deals available. I then went to the counter to ask an employee for help. However, a staff member wearing a black headscarf responded with an extremely bad attitude, simply pointing at the self-service kiosk and telling me to order there. I explained that the kiosk did not offer any deals, so I couldn’t place my order. She then told me to try ordering on my phone again. I explained that I had already placed an order, but it was rejected. She responded, “If you place an order now, I will accept it.” I found this very strange—why was my order rejected in the first place? When I asked her, she impatiently replied that it was because they were “too busy”—her tone was full of annoyance, and she looked at me with clear disdain. However, today was the least crowded I’ve seen in months (it’s a rainy Monday), with very few customers and plenty of empty tables. Her unprofessional attitude and dismissive tone made the experience extremely unpleasant. I strongly suggest that your employees receive proper training before being allowed to work, as this kind of behavior damages your brand’s reputation. Additionally, I waited a long time for my order, yet I saw her chatting and laughing with others instead of working. If the store’s management sees this, feel free to contact me to verify the situation or check the cameras ins store. I have always been a loyal customer, but this experience was truly terrible! I waited 25 minutes and still hadn’t received my dessert! Thank you.

The $2 off passion fruit or pineapple deal says "purchases over $20 (pre-tax)" but then it also says "when you spend $30 or more (pre-tax)" - which is it? It's super busy, and like most places, woefully understaffed. Plus they're training 3 new staff. Got in line a little after 9:30, got to the front by 9:45, ordered 1 thing, tofu pudding, which is pre-made, and over half an hour later I'm still waiting. They heated the tofu pudding first, then gathered the sesame balls, q mochi, and crystal mochi toppings in a separate cup. The toppings were ice cold and hard in the middle. The tofu pudding was only lukewarm and the sugar water wasn't ginger-flavored as expected. Sweethoney's tofu pudding and their sesame balls in sesame soup are better. At Sweethoney the tofu pudding has a gingery kick and the sesame balls are hot all the way through the filling. The q mochi and crystal mochi were good, though. Kind of a cross between mochi and boba. Crystal mochi are filled with red bean, q mochi have no filling and are shaped like and have a chew similar to a Korean rice cake. This doesn't factor into my review but whoever designed the cup art is not a professional designer or doesn't usually design this type of item. The art just gets weirdly cut off at the seam. I think it's supposed to be a black umbrella? Lol Update re owner's reply: "Purposely designed" to be cut off? That's laughably dumb. That's like when you trip on the sidewalk and then act like "I meant to do that."

This was overall... not a pleasant visit! - Over a DOZEN different signs (menus, notices, warnings, updates) plastered about (see the photos). Before my friend arrived, I spent 10+ minutes just trying to make sense of it all. Not to mention their actual menus are so massive (and confusing) as to just make for decision paralysis :(. - To order, you have to use the kiosks. Not only do they not list ANY ingredients (so you have to go find the separate menu to actually understand what you're ordering) but... if you select "English" then you'll find you're inexplicably not able to add any item to your cart to order. Oh, and you can order a Medium or Large but oddly there's no Small. And after all that hassle, they still prompt you to tip. Man that's lame when there's... literally no service offered (they call your number and you walk up to the counter to pick up your dessert, and you bus your table yourself). - I ordered my dessert "half sweet" and lordy, I'm petrified to even consider what "100% sweet" would have been; maybe just a bag of sugar? 50% sweet was still way, way too sweet! There are plenty of less-stressful, more tasty places (and even more affordable!) places for Taiwanese desserts. I'd avoid going to Meet Fresh unless you want a confusing, loud, and frustrating time. 2 stars only because I didn't get food poisoning.
