While it may be lengthy, my gratitude for the Homewood Suites in Cypress, CA, is truly deserved! This hotel is simply the best! Words cannot fully express my appreciation for the incredible management and staff here. When I mention the staff, I refer not only to the front desk team but also to the kitchen, maintenance and housekeeping personnel. They've consistently engaged with me and even greeted my dog, Miss Mabel, making her feel quite spoiled during our stay!
I had the privilege of staying here for several months due to work, and I can confidently say that the management and staff exceeded my expectations beyond anything I’ve ever encountered in all of my hotel experiences—even compared to those at higher-end hotels. The cleanliness, delicious food, and overall exceptional service contributed to a wonderful atmosphere. Their "Welcome Home Wednesday" weekly gatherings were always a highlight, giving ample opportunity for staff and guests to interact. Who doesn’t appreciate complementary appetizers and beverages?!
They ensured that both my stay and Miss Mabel’s were exceptional. Amongst work stress and personal challenges, including my dog’s health issues, the team provided unwavering support and kindness. They offered a listening ear and did everything possible to alleviate my stress while ensuring that Miss Mabel was comfortable and well cared for. I was truly amazed by how much they genuinely cared about both my well-being and that of my dog. I really would live here if I could! Haha.
Without a doubt, this hotel has surpassed every expectation I've had, even compared to higher-tier hotels. If you're in the area for vacation, work, or if you’re a local needing accommodations due to unexpected circumstances, I wholeheartedly recommend this place!
A heartfelt thank you to every manager and staff member for their outstanding hospitality and the wonderful experience. I’m really looking forward at having an opportunity to come back and visit!
Much love and many thanks from...
Read moreThis Homewood Suites is newer and it in a nice area. My family stayed in a king 1 bedroom suite and it was perfect space. It gave us two separate areas but bigger than other Homewood Suites with a better layout. It felt like a spacious 1 bedroom apartment. You enter in a foyer where the closets are across from the bathroom and a bedroom door next to the entry door. The living area had a nice size sectional that partly opened to a pull out sofa with a tv mounted in the wall and a kitchen area with an island with seating. Nothing felt tight. It had lots of natural light.
Cons: the suites have several usb C outlets and only 1 worked. We did inform the hotel and they sent someone up. The parking lot is open yet they charge $22 parking. It felt like a money grab to guest. The check in lady said sometimes people park in their lot. We were out all hours and never saw anyone monitoring the parking lot (not saying the didn’t) but without a gated area it was hard for me to justify why they were charging for basic parking. The breakfast was just okay. There was no evening managers reception. My final con was that for rooms that are priced well over $200 per night room service did not refresh our room. This was something that I noticed started in the pandemic for safety where hotels didn’t send housekeeping into rooms daily. It’s 2025 and many hotels are back to offering daily housekeeping. I stay at multiple different hotels per year and this is the first time in years that this came up. I wasn’t aware that our rooms had not been cleaned so after spending a day in the theme park and some rain, my family was exhausted and it didn’t feel good to enter a hotel with unmade beds, a used towel on the bed, and trash. That really changed my good feeling at the hotel. I quickly started tidying up and again was exhausted. I think hotels should understand that one of their main perks is housekeeping. I can stay in a air bnb with more beds and space for the same cost if I wanted to skip...

If you’re planning to stay here with a pet, DO NOT book this hotel!
After a late-night gathering with friends, we needed a nearby place to stay and ended up at this Hilton-branded hotel. My partner, our small dog, and I checked in after booking through the Bank of America travel portal. Before booking, I checked whether pets were allowed and if there were any fees. The website mentioned “fees may apply,” but no specific amount was listed.
At check-in, I asked about the pet fee, and the front desk only mentioned a $50 deposit, which would be refunded the next day. Since many hotels in Laguna Beach and nearby areas have either waived pet fees or clearly stated them online, we assumed this was a similar case. The next morning, the $50 deposit was indeed refunded, so we thought everything was fine.
Then, two days later, a shocking $150 pet fee was charged to my card—without any prior notice! If we had been informed upfront, we wouldn’t have felt so deceived. When we disputed the charge, the hotel staff refused to let us speak to a manager, and the front desk clerk became hostile instead of resolving the issue. To make matters worse, the hotel later submitted false documents to our bank, making it seem like we were trying to scam them, when in reality, we had already paid for our stay and were simply questioning an unjust charge.
In the end, we paid over $400 for a one-night stay—including an outrageous pet fee—and were treated as if we were trying to cheat the hotel. It’s absolutely disgraceful for a Hilton-branded property to handle guests this way.
There are plenty of better hotels nearby that are pet-friendly and transparent about their fees. If you’re traveling with a dog, STAY AWAY...
