We have been here many times for breakfast, either by ourselves or with a large family group, and we are always satisfied. Nobody ever leaves hungry. The menu is varied and you will inevitably fall into one of 2 categories: You will fall in love with one specific item or have to try a little of everything. My wife always gets the Meximess(full order, they do have half portions) and ends up taking half home because its such a heaping portion of eggs, mushrooms, hash browns, etc. I have sampled several omelettes, which are all delicious, as well as my favorite chicken fried steak, generously smothered with their outstanding gravy. The breakfast burritos are packed and the size of a small football. The staff are always friendly, down to earth, and attentive. I recommend substituing a warm freshly baked muffin from the bakery for the bread in your order, and maybe grabbing some on the way out also. Gourmet PIe also boasts a solid bar and drinks, complete with several TVs which are always tuned to the lastest sporting event. You can expect weekends to be busy and you'll likely wait if you're not early, but the time passes quickly and will be worth the wait

There are a lot of places that do breakfasts and unfortunately just don’t really do it with the love attention to detail that breakfast actually deserves except this place. When you walk in you can tell there’s a lot of attention it’s given to the decor to the attention to detail to the cleanse leanness the bathrooms are spotless I know it sounds weird to comment on the bathroom cleanliness of the restaurant but I think it speaks a lot to the intentionality of how the overall businesses run. Our waitress was so friendly warm and welcoming she made a lot of great recommendations for our dish the coffee was absolutely delicious in addition to our corn beef hash dish that we ended up splitting. Our waitress recommended the boysenberry cream cheese pancake and we ended up ordering just one and it was probably the best pancake I’ve ever had in my life. This Hass to be my new breakfast favorite spot. I will most certainly be back with my wife and kids

Used to be 5 stars. I've been black listed and told never to return. Please read and think if I should be a bit offended. The events below happened in Sept of 2016 and after years of patronage and tipping at each visit. The last time I went my boys, my wife and my wife's friend went. My boys took off after dinner. So the 3 of us drank and had a good time. We paid our tabs even bought a stranger dinner. But we FORGOT to leave a tip for our server ( I will refer to HIM as ) "L". I was notified about a week later that our FORGETTING to leave a TIP offended the server "L" and the Business owner "Mike" SO MUCH that we are now black listed and are no longer welcome. The food is good the service is good and the drinks have always been really good. If you go there be sure to tip the server or you too could be black listed. Seriously, I'm NOT SAYING don't go there. It's still good food, good service and good drink. A lot of workers there count on your patronage. The black list is for Vegas cheats and rowdy out of control patrons. Not for forgetting to tip. It's all good. Mike's place Mike's rules. Still having a good time just now I go elsewhere to spend my money.

4/21/18 around 10 AM, Waited for 15-20 minutes which was normal for breakfast for me. We were welcomed in and sat on a table not booth. We were not given utensils or asked for something to drink until 10 min later. The coffee was great, they gave coffee cups with no straws to my son and daughter. Had to wait to catch the waitress to get some straws from them. Went and put sugar in my coffee and my wife put creamer but we both noticed there were no utensils. Had to wait to get the attention of a bus boy to get them. He handed us a fork and a knife, no spoon cause per him all the spoons were dirty. Some other customers came in and they received spoons. They brought us the food and my little girl was happy with the pancakes, they looked awesome. My wife had the french toast, I tried it and we both thought it was a little dry but good. Eggs and bacon was normal. I was recommended "the mess" so I got the country version. The gravy was very savory, the rest of the meal was hearty and filling. They came and served us coffee right when we were about to leave. The food was good, the service was terrible.

Giant sign as we were driving by said, "Gourmet Pies". We decided that it would be a good time to enjoy a slice and u-turned it back to the property. And we were so happy we did. Wide range of food offered in large helpings (plenty for 2 people to share - although we didn't 😅.) I enjoyed the chorizo and eggs platter immensely. It had just the right amount of heat. Our slice of chocolate cream pie was the perfect ending to a very satisfying meal. Shoutout to Jennifer for being one of the best servers I have ever had. There were approximately 10 tables of patrons, and she was friendly to each, checking in and making sure we were all settled and didn't need anything. She is definitely a rare gem in the service industry.

This is a hidden little gem in the city of Cypress. The breakfast is really good and served until 2pm. There is a plate called the Mexi-Mess and it’s delicious! All basic breakfast items, scrambled with salsa and served with guacamole and sour cream. Their omelettes are great too! Stuffed with veggies and served with house potatoes. If you like French Toast, they also have a fantastic serving of fluffy, world famous French Toast. It was the best French Toast I’ve ever had! Only feed back I have for them is that when you seat people in the bar area, please at least acknowledge them. I get it, it’s busy but acknowledgement goes a really long way.
