Sunset Recycling — Local services in Cypress

I've been going to sunset recycling for two years. It is so convenient, because I drop off my kid at middle school, head over to sunset recycling, get gas, turn in recycling at 9am, eat breakfast really quick at nearby places (or take a quick nap in the car), then head on for Costco shopping at 10am.

Recently I thought it was removed because I didn't see it where it used to be. Then I found out it was relocated to the back of Costco! Kevin who works there informed me that they will likely stay in the backside rather than the front where it used to be. Kevin is always so friendly and quick to get your stuff weighed so you can get done and be on your way.

I really like this recycling center, but the line of people isn't as it used to be, I would hate to see this place close. Then I would have to find another location to bring my recyclables to. So please go to this location! I am writing this because many people may not realize it is relocated to the back of costco.

This location is convenient and SAFE unlike many recycling centers located somewhere undesirable... (before I moved here, I used to drive 20 min for recycling center so I could only go every once in awhile when I had other errands to go there, and it was not really a safe neighborhood so I made sure to go when it wasn't too busy to make it quick and I can get out of there. Sunset Recycling, Cypress is my number one choise for depositing my CRV recyclables. This is a safe location and the facility is relatively clean. Manager Kevin is my "go to" person there because he is friendly and always helpful. I submit all my beverage bottles for CRV redemption at this facility. Back on my initial visit, I could not decide whether it would be best to submit the bottles on a per item redemption basis, or by total overall weight. Kevin helped me make the choise by using both methods. In my case, the "by weight" method turned out to yield a little better return (which helps to offset the CA CRV tax). This is second time i have been to this recycling center . cause the one we always went to closed for good, due to the pandemic . But today kinda annoyed me and soured my experience cause , its right near the costco. but the only parking spots , are across from. it this old guy working there was like u can't empty our cans and bottles here cause costco doesn't like them making a mess or something and i'm like whatever i will just park where they want me too and stuff , the guy at cashier was alright never mean and nice but . its not my first choice to go and they need to get there act together and start knowing what they are doing cause that was just plan unacceptable in...
