PokiDoki — Restaurant in Cypress

Well, I have to say welcome to Cypress PokiDoki! I love Poke and this place being next to Costco (Ironically they recently offered it prepacked on weekends), would visit here for a healthy alternative anytime!

Their recent Grand Opening had FREE, yes FREE medium size Poke bowls ( reg. 8.50 for 3 items) in which you can pick your base from chips, salad, white rice, or brown rice. Then you pick your proteins from albacore, tuna, salmon, shrimp, scallops, eggs. The avocado and imo crabmeat is standard. Extra avo is $1 more. Then you pick your toppings. I just pick all cuz pretty much it's everything I want, including wasabi. To finish, you pick your sauce. I have to say, I think this place is Korean owned and I'm a little disappointed in the sauce. It's not spicy at all in any way for the spicy version. The regular sauce just tasted like sweet soy sauce.

I noticed on the 2nd day they gave out less on the bowl. I'm not complaining, I'm still grateful to have tried your poke bowl for free and your pokinade which has chunks of strawberry and basil. I do wish the lemon sour intensity was more because it tasted a little watered down for me. But thank goodness you do offer sweet green tea next to the soda dispenser.

I do like the size of the fish chunks here, it's not big nor terribly small. Your servers were friendly with a smile so that in itself was sign for me to come back.

Oh yeah, the blurring loud music when I was there pretty much gave away that the owners were Korean. If you ever been to those KBBQ places, you know what I'm...

I don’t normally write reviews but this time I have to because this place really sucked. -the customer service was like their food - bland. This was my first time in there and the person behind the counter just stood there with the expectation of me knowing how the menu worked, and didn’t explain how things were. -a regular bowl was $14.95, and it was small. -the scoops were tiny too! There were not much items to choose from aside from proteins. There were: corn, jalapeños, purple onions, masago, seaweed salad and green onions -the guy making my bowl picked up something from the counter and put it in my bowl. When I asked him why he did that, he denied it.

There are plenty other poki places close by, save your time and money and...

I come here pretty often because it's just around the corner from my house. I am a huge fan of poki and I'm really picky about where I go because I like a good quality of fish, as most other people do. This place is pretty consistently fresh and their toppings are some of the best I've encountered around. They have great spam Musubi as well. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quick bites. Located really close to the gym and the racetrack. Also Costco's just around the corner... stop in and grab a bite before you go wait in the ridiculously...
