My recent experience at Comfort Inn Dallas Park Central during a storm-induced power outage was nothing short of a horror show. Forced to seek shelter due to the blackout affecting half a million people in the DFW area, I had hoped for a semblance of comfort and cleanliness. Instead, what I found was a nightmarish ordeal that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy.
Upon entering the room, any hopes of a decent stay were dashed immediately. The state of disarray was appalling. The curtains, tattered and ominous, seemed more fitting for a horror movie set than a supposedly reputable hotel. Even my child remarked that the scene resembled something out of a crime thriller. The air conditioner in the room would randomly shut completely off on it's own and had to be manually turned back on so we were forced to go to a nearby store for a fan to make sure the room was cool enough to be comfortable.
The bedding was no better, riddled with holes and adorned with strips of tape as if attempting a makeshift repair. It was evident that cleanliness was not a priority; substances caked on shelving in the bathroom and stray hairs littered the bathtub, further adding to the disgust.
The ambiance of the entire floor reeked of stale alcohol and sweat, reminiscent of a seedy bar rather than a place of rest and relaxation. To add insult to injury, the pool, a beacon of hope for my disappointed children, was indefinitely closed, and the staff's dismissive and rude attitude only exacerbated our frustration. Requesting additional towels was met with indifference, with staff directing us to hunt down a maid ourselves.
Even the check-in process was a debacle, with staff members carelessly hanging up on callers, leaving a chaotic and unprofessional first impression. Every single chair in the lobby was tattered and peeling. We immediately decided that there was no way we'd allow our children in the area. Had it not been for the late hour and the scarcity of alternative accommodations due to the widespread power outage, I would have fled this nightmarish establishment immediately.
I had booked and paid for a two-night stay, but the state of the room was so deplorable that I am cutting my losses and departing a day early. I would like to be contacted promptly to discuss a partial refund for this utterly unacceptable experience. It is clear that Comfort Inn Dallas Park Central is exploiting the misfortune of others during...
Read moreI just wanted to say that this comfort inn is absolutely NASTY! Dont waste your money going there.it is more ghetto than anything. Because i had booked it i couldn't get out of being refunded when i paid at the desk. I was not only devastated but the room gave me the creeps the entire night. I had been staying at the comfort inn on northwest hwy in Dallas and i was very impressed w their rooms, how clean and new those were so thought i would change up the areas .(wrong!) After seeing all the nasty pictures this place should be shut down. Hairs in the made bed when i pulled down the sheets.. the table to sit at was so warped and unclean i couldn't even eat my meal. Then I go to the window and I've never in my life seen such a nasty unclean curtain that you had open as it shows. I pulled the curtains back and the window is wet and the back of the curtain mildewed. I then opened the air conditioner because if the curtain looked this bad what would i be breathing in if the air was on lol. And as u seen it was disgusting. I unfortunately unplugged it so it wouldn't come on. So then i go to the rest room to shower and its nasty too but what bothered me was the shower head was so bad, full of slimy grime that if i had to address my dam self and wipe it off as good as i could w shampoo. (Sadly, i know) i wish there was a number to call cuz this place is 100% bad. They have bad breakfast too.cold, hard, stale and fruits were old like. I didn't even feel safe w how the door even locked.Nothing like the other comfort inn. And when i went to check out the man at the desk was so rude. I stood in line 45 mins to get a receipt (to get my points )and this man looks my name up and tells me you didn't book thru us, you booked thru a third party you will have to call them and have them print out out for you somewhere. I never in my life paid almost 90.00 and treated so rudely. He stated he was the manager because I asked. If corporate would reach out to me id appreciate it. This was untolerable. While I was in Dallas I stayed several days in comfort inn and suites. I honestly would like a free stay .i will be back to Texas in the next 2 weeks. My pictures show everything. when booking a room, they are not even close to how they are online to book one of these rooms. Again, the city or state needs to shut it down. Please feel...
Read moreabsolutely awful. couldn’t even get a hotel room even when one was booked. so back on Nov 15, my mom had booked a friend and i a room via a 3rd party site. she couldnt change the check in date to Nov 16 since we were going to drive all day the 15th (we live around 10 hours away) and did try to contact them to let them know what happened. a friend and i arrived at the hotel and the gentleman upfront was awfully rude. at first he told us that we couldn’t check into a room until 3pm (mind my friend and i were up for over 24 hours at this point and we were exhausted). we told him what was going on and what had happened with the booking. he kept telling us we couldnt checkin until 3pm, we explained again and he said because we didn’t check in on Nov 15 we were marked as a “no show” and had to either wait until 3 or book another room entirely. frustrated, we walked out of the hotel to go get gas, i called my mom to tell her what was going on. my mom then called the hotel herself and talked with someone in charge and the lady there said it was fine for us to check in. so, we headed back to the hotel and encountered the same man. told him that my mom called and whoever she spoke to said it was fine. he asked for my ID and the card I was paying with. i had told him that it was going to be under my moms card, and he asked if she was with us. we had yet again told him that we drove 10 hours and my mom had booked us this hotel prior to our trip. he rudely asked if she could come up to the hotel (like we didnt just tell him we werent from here and the booking was paid for prior to this trip). he still refused. i called my mom, and she had spoke to the man. of course she was POed at him (understandably) even telling him that she spoke to someone HERSELF and verified. he tried cutting her off multiple times saying it was “policy” and eventually just crossed his arms and refused to talk to her, my friend or me and wouldnt say another word. i can understand to an extent that its a big city and verifying this stuff is a security measure but why cant someone buy you a hotel room just to be nice without all this nonsense? i go on roadtrips every year with my family and we could check into a hotel room anytime we wanted if we needed to pull over. this is absolutely BS and i would not...
